this is so cool! but i was hoping that this where the same as the custom bow, that you can see the harpoon flying in the direcction of the shot, it would be a feature in the future?

also, the tebex is down

Hi! Thanks for the info about the store, I’ve already placed it. There were some technical difficulties.

Regarding your question, yes, you can see the harpoon flying towards the target.

However, you can’t see the harpoon itself being placed on the target :frowning:
It disappears after hitting it.

in the video doesnt show that the harpoon :/, sad that disappears. thank you.

You’d have to recreate it in extreme slow motion. The moment after the shot, when the gun recoils, you can see the harpoon flying out. I could have recorded the video.

Hello!

I’m very satisfied with the harpoon model! We all love it.
However, would it be possible to allocate the shot underwater?

Personally, I don’t know how to do this. Even though there are many solutions, I’d prefer not to damage this magnificent model, which works very well (and yes, with the harpoon projectile, which is clearly visible, it’s also visible upon impact).

Thank you in advance for your reply, and keep up the good work, quality work as always :kissing_heart:

Thanks for the kind words!

Many clients have asked about underwater harpoons and arrows. Unfortunately, I don’t know how to do that yet. But I plan to do it (if possible).

I’ve had a flood of orders lately, so I don’t want to give any indication of when I’ll be able to start figuring it out. But it’s on my to-do list

Hey! Thanks for the quick reply, let’s be patient in this case !
I’ll still find out when I can.
Good job again, hoping to test it on a shark one day

hello !

I found a temporary solution for now, which involves adding the UsableUnderwater flag in the weapon.meta file.
It should look like this:

<WeaponFlags>CarriedInHand Gun CanFreeAim TwoHanded Launched AnimReload AnimCrouchFire Scary AllowCloseQuarterKills HasLowCoverReloads HasLowCoverSwaps DelayedFiringAfterAutoSwap DisableStealth UseFPSAimIK StaticReticulePosition UsableUnderwater</WeaponFlags>

With this, the weapon can be drawn and used underwater. However, if the player wants to move again, they’ll need to holster or unequip the weapon.

Ohhh i will test it today

“You’ll let me know how things stand on your side. The only real problem for me at the moment is that it seems the GTA engine blocks damage underwater, so I need to figure out how to allow that.”

Well, I read once that underwater shots cannot be made without a script :frowning:

Indeed, it seems we need to reproduce the weapon’s behavior for it to be accepted underwater. I’ll try to look into that if time permits — if I find a viable solution, I’ll share it.

No worries, that’s nice, but I’m tough. If I want it, I’ll have it, haha.
Keep making beautiful models like this, thanks again.
