Emergency Alert System

Summary

This resource is the first of it’s kind in any Grand Theft Auto Modification ever.

This resource gives you the ability to do the following:

  • Alert Users with a Display of both the message and department sending it.
  • Annoy the crap out of people
  • Create more realism and excitement (@sadboilogan 's Definition: A r r p e e )

installation

  1. Extract the files to a new folder within the resources called “eas-fivem”.

  2. Edit the config.lua if you want to add/remove departments.

  • The Format for adding departments is:
    DepartmentName = {name = "What is shown as the issuer in the alert"}

  1. Insert ''eas-fivem" into the server.cfg.

  2. Profit.

You may activate the EAS by doing:

/alert [*Department]

*(Use the names defining the departments. e.g. LSSD by default is the command used for the Los Santos Sheriffs Department.)

Some might love me for making this, Some may say otherwise.

You need to practice your typing skills bro. That was hard to watch.

Also, can you adjust the speed of the text rolling across the screen?

Maybe even add a Air raid option lmao?

So I installed this on my FX server and nothing happens. I even disabled my custom chat.

Love the script. I love the concept of having an alert system like that. My only issue is the text shoots across the screen to fast to read. anyway of slowing it down so it slowly moves across.

you may be using the command wrong its /alert LSPD then enter and a black box will appear. you can change them in the config. i changed the gov to admin instead
