VPS Server Specs

I’m looking into pay a dedicated server to host a fivem server on.

What specs and where would you guys suggest? I’ve tried zap and its just been awful.

Currently thinking about nfoservers the 8 core server let me know what you think.

Probably because you bought the worst server and had 200 resources, that’s what most people do…

nah i bought the best one and jacked the specs up. But thanks for your input. Irrelevant to the actual questions I asked.

8 Core is not needed, I have a 6 core with 4 FiveM servers running at once. FiveM handles quite a lot on the client.

if you’re only using the server for FXServer, then that is reeeeeeally overkill, 2 cores 1gb of ram is already enough.

also zap hasn’t been awful at all for me, i got a vps and a preconfigured fivem server there, and it’s looking good, i’d suggest going with them if you cant figure out dedis and/or vps

I’m using a Linode 2GB for the FiveM server and a Linode 4GB for the database server. I host several things out of the 4GB unrelated to FiveM, so I just use that since it already has MySQL installed and optimized. Both are running Ubuntu 16.04. https://www.linode.com/pricing

I would personally recommend a Vultr VPS. You could easily run a server on the $5 or $10 package.

For a dedicated server look into ReliableSite which is a child company of the datacenter Choopa. They offer some really good deals and amazing hardware.

Yes @SaltyGrandpa A linode boi

I use linode, they are a great company, their servers are great and has even better uptime. I have had my VPS for a year and it only ever has gone down once for security maintenance. I currently use their $20 VPS but I did have the $5 back in the day which worked fine until I started TeamSpeak servers and websites etc. I do run 3 (4 if dev is up) FiveM servers off my $20 plan plus multiple websites, databases and 2 TeamSpeak’s and it does pretty well.

They are great and you can start at the $5 plan and upgrade as needed. There’s no setup fees and no extra payments (excluding backups). They all also have no lock-in contracts so you can cancel any time.

You may not want a Linux but I think they are better as windows tends to have a bunch of crap running that hogs resources.

I would personally recommend Scaleway ( https://www.scaleway.com/pricing/ ), they are much cheaper than all of those hosting companies listed and also have a really good DDoS protection for UDP based applications.
A Start 1-M 4 Core x86-64 should do the job or you can get a Dedicated(Bare Metal) for 11€ with 8 cores.

If you’re looking for US/Canada you could go for a OVH VPS also good DDoS protection and the 2 core one should do the job.

If you’re a hardcore boii then you could go with a Dedi from

I would recommend Modern Solutions, they have good VPS servers and services, my community used them and could host minecraft, and several FiveM servers running at the same time with no connectivity issues (Except my horrid internet connection, but that is a me problem).

We also had 280+ resources, and 370+ vehicles, all running smoothly until my PC and internet made it so I couldn’t do dev work on the servers anymore.

They also have wonderful and timely customer support.

How can the server be configured since I have one with enough resources but the problem is that nearby players freeze or disappear, the synchronization is bad, the characters or peds remain static and in turn my character remains static in their session.

Purchased a pretty expensive Dedicated Machine from ReliableSite and my server got blocklisted on startup with this error

EDIT: Fixed! Just contact support if this ever happens!
