[Free] North Yankton Enabled

A starting point for the enabling of North Yankton for FiveM!

This resource reenables North Yankton, and keeps it in a bucket, where players who travel to North Yankton see North Yankton (regularly placed right over Cayo) and all other players will not see North Yankton.

Huge Note: North Yankton is NOT COMPLETE There are many holes, low-resolution textures, broken models, invisible walls and the chance for players to fall off of North Yankton. This was released with the hope that people with more experience working with maps/IPLs would start working on fixes for the map.

Requirements:

This is an edit of Cayo Two Islands which replaces the replacement of the NY files that Cayo Two Islands made. Please use this fork if you want to enable Cayo with North Yankton while using this resource.

Required for enabling IPLs, like North Yankton.

This is released without guaranteeing support, help, or assistance. If you have issues, please fix them and make a PR. Issues created will not be addressed. North Yankton is NOT “release ready”. It was never intended to be used by players outside of the very controlled prologue missions by Rockstar.

Feel free to post any map edits/fixes you do in the comments and I’ll list them at the bottom here; I hope this opens up NY to a lot more in the future. Have fun!

can you post a video of the map ?

I’ve forced a timecycle (look in the client side code) when you go to NY to hide all the broken trees/cut-off buildings, as I suspect this was never intended to be seen in the daytime.

Again this is a basic implementation of NY just to get the ball rolling for others to work on it. It should not be implemented in a live server until more fixes are made.

There are a lot of holes in the map, but it is minimally usable.

hey this is awesome, I think I might throw this on my live server and watch the world burn… along with my population :rofl: but nah I do wonder if my Zombie script can run on these streets and see if the basic holes in the map can get some quick prop fixes in, very nice job

I’m not sure what the airstrip does, but we found it caused issues/conflicts with Cayo Two Islands if we didn’t replace it.

Can I use this North Yankton map with Cayo? Asking because Cayo is down below of this map so yk

This is made to work with cayo, and I’ve included a link to a a modified version of cayo two islands that allows for both to exist.

This puts your players in a bucket (instance) so only players who specifically travel to NY will see it. You need to use the modified cayo two islands to have both.

I need to reiterate the point, there are many places where players can fall off the map with this. It may bug them out, so don’t use this unless you have some basic knowledge/trouble shooting ability.

We’re currently testing the inclusion of trees from this modification after getting permission to use the file from MissySnowie to include them.

Trees look good, this has been added to our fork of cayo two islands. The files that are modified are:

Fixed the server files, which did not allow multiple users to be in NY at the same, added the stream files to NYE.
