J-Hud — Feature-rich and customizable HUD

Introducing J-Hud, a highly efficient and customizable HUD for FiveM. A clean and feature rich HUD, J-Hud was created to provide as much functionality and customization for a wide range of players, giving your community a HUD that lets each player tailor J-Hud to their own personal preference with as much (or as little) information as they need on screen!

Every part of J-Hud is customizable, down to the color of the icons, when they appear or disappear and when colors change to alert players. Standard colors like red, orange, yellow, and green have been set by default, but users can customize everything to whatever color and function they desire with a handy color picker built into the HUD, meaning the HUD can be made color blind compatible as well!

Main Features:

  • Compatible with 4K and 21:9 (ultrawide) resolutions
  • Dyanmic HUD elements that can be set by each player, letting players decide how dynamic or static their HUD is.
  • 0.0 - 0.01 ms idle, with .02 ms when driving
  • Settings saved between sessions
  • Notification/Radio UI for when people are talking in radio channels

Dependencies:

  • qb-core
  • pma-voice (optional)

J-Hud comes with a number of chat commands that can be used to turn off or on parts of the HUD, useful for taking photos so you don’t need to mess with cinematic mode or any other functions.

Commands:

  • /compass - Toggle the compass
  • /minimap - Toggle the minimap
  • /togglehud - Toggle the HUD
  • /deletehudsettings - Deletes your saved hud settings
  • /hud - Open HUD options menu
  • /toggleall - Toggle minimap & HUD

You can customize the following as well:

  • Size
  • Opacity
  • Position

And more!

TL;DR: Good resmon, tons of customization, clean design, tons of information without being cluttered, and awesome dev that is proactive about fixing issues.

This HUD has been a relatively long-term project Jorn has been working on with feedback from me, the Popcorn RP community, several other developers, and designers who have gone through multiple rounds of testing, debugging, and feedback with Jorn.

I can confidently say this HUD is by far the cleanest, most universally user-friendly HUD to exist in FiveM with compatibility with widescreen, 4k, and a very good set of customization options without sacrificing the overall style and functionality of the HUD. Things like being able to hide the minimap, reduce icon size, and change opacity (without them completely demolishing your resmon like a lot of other big huds) is awesome.

This should be the “standard” going forward for HUD design/display, and I think every aspect of the HUD pulls from all the best/most needed features with excellent cohesion and design decisions.

Aside from the design and well-done code, Jorn is professional, quick to respond, easy to communicate with, and responsive when it comes to fixing issues and modifying his resources.

I wouldn’t hesitate to buy the HUD, and you can expect to get excellent support if anything comes up.

Your HUD, among others, have been an inspiration, I have added a link to yours in this post. I missed some essential features though, which I have added, including;

  • Voice status (proximity, radio, talking)
  • Stamina
  • Lung capacity (swimming under water)
  • Compass
  • Job
  • Gang
  • Gear indicator
  • Compatibility for resolutions other than 16:9 1080p

As well as solid code which performs better, is easier to maintain and allows for feature requests to be implemented quickly. It also includes tons of customization options.

qbox support?

If you use a somewhat recent version of qbox, yes

We bought this; however I can not use it yet. Few things are missing that are very important.

Do not see the option to determine stress, so there is no way of knowing if the player is even getting stress at all.

Also missing are default HUD notifications like when your money is taken away.

Also a suggestion; I would love the option to change the border style simiular to how ps-hud does there with a bunch of default shapes.

Also would like the option to move the icons, giving players the ultimate form of customization of their hud.

Also, I would like the option to move the icons, giving players the ultimate form of customization of their hud.

Generally, stuff like this impacts performance badly. I think one of CodeM’s HUDs has that ability and it’s nuclear bomb, 1.0-2.0+ Resmon at all times.

PS-Hud is what I am basing off of.

sad no esx version

can we get a standalone?

If you’re using J-Hud (or any hud that streams minimap.gfx really) and want the latest blips, download and replace your minimap.gfx file with this one by CritteR:

Had to leave another positive review: I had some requests from our community for features to be added, and Jorn was quick to take the feedback and add them to J-Hud for us.

Still the best minimalist HUD in FiveM IMO, clean with just the right amount of information.
