Community Spotlight: April 2025

Back in September, we outlined our plans for future communications by splitting Community Pulses into distinct posts that not only separate important topics out from one another, but also allows us to post on those topics at a more frequent cadence.

After a flurry of important recent announcements including the addition of Upvotes in Portal, new Game Server Providers, and RedM Asset Escrow, we are excited to shine a light on our talented community with the return of the Community Spotlight!

The Community Spotlight started as a community-driven effort in 2020 (which soon became the Community Pulses), to highlight some of the amazing things happening within the FiveM and RedM communities every month.

This first edition serves as a pilot, and we plan to add different kinds of projects and scripts each month that showcase the wide variety of content our community is creating.

So let’s get stuck in!

FiveM

13Stewartc’s Garage: A Ride For Every Occasion

First off, we wanted to highlight the amazing vehicles of 13Stewartc: they have a garage (well, Tebex page) full of various lore-friendly vehicles from sports cars to work vans, all revved up to zoom into your server(s).

Whether you’re looking for a dependable tow truck to live out your RP towing dreams, or you want something flashier to win with style in your racing server of choice, 13Stewartc has you covered.

You can check out 13Stewartc’s garage of goodies here, where you’ll find the full mix of free and paid vehicles to use within FiveM.

Transport Tycoon: Work Your Way to the Top

Sticking with the theme of fun ways to get around, this month we’re highlighting Transport Tycoon!

Transport Tycoon is a unique and well-populated FiveM server (technically two servers, but you’ll share the same character on both) focused on transporting goods, people, and materials across San Andreas in trucks, planes, cars, and more. Revolving mostly around transportation jobs (as well as a few other job types such as fishing, mining and hunting), Transport Tycoon allows you to be anything from a Truck Driver to an Airline Pilot.

Staying true to its ‘Tycoon’ name, you’ll work towards the status of multi-millionaire (or even billionaire!) as you rank up through your job(s) of choice, unlocking new features for your vehicle and/or business which will help you get money more quickly.

You can find out more information over on the Transport Tycoon Wiki, or check out the community-made video above for a guide to getting started. Thanks for the tutorial video, LordSparkleFart! :sparkles:

RedM

Lucius Alabaster: Bank Manager and Occasional Safari Hunter

Streamer and voice actor Jay Britton has recently started up a new character within Ranch RP: Lucius Alabaster, fancy-man bank manager of Valentine. With a strong upper-class British accent and a penchant for shouting ‘Tally ho!’ as he rides towards a group of unsuspecting deer, Lucius is fierce both out on the plains and when dealing with potential bank robbers in Valentine.

Supported by his trusty team of bank tellers (one of which may be trying to murder him, it’s still unclear), Lucius will keep the people of Valentine’s money safe while avoiding those who were unfortunately born without silver spoons in their mouths.

Jay streams both FiveM and RedM on his Twitch channel, JayBritton, but you don’t need to wait for Jay to be live to enjoy the RP shenanigans. Check out Lucius’ RedM adventures over on his YouTube VOD playlist, beginning with Episode 1:

Jay also has a Discord server where you can check out his streaming schedule, as well as join in on discussions about FiveM and RedM RP!

Dusty Trails’ State Carnival: An Evening of Fun and Friendly Competition

Opened in late October, Dusty Trails is a relatively new RedM server which already has a thriving community of business owners, law staff, outlaws, and tribespeople from all backgrounds. Keen to encourage new players to spend more time playing than writing , their whitelist application is quick and simple, and doesn’t rely on long essays to complete.

Their recent ‘State Carnival’ was a celebration of all things bright and playful, with carnival games, delicious food and drink, and spectacular rides to try out.

The server invested a lot of time and energy into creating a large event where players could try their hand at axe throwing, maze-escaping or even hot air ballooning.

Don’t worry if you missed out on the State Carnival this time around: Dusty Trails has lots of upcoming events planned for the near future and you can find the Dusty Trails Discord server here if you want to find out more information and join in the fun yourself!

That’s all for this month, folks: if you’re interested in having your creations featured in next month’s Community Spotlight, share them in the Community channels over on the Cfx Discord server.

The person in the spotlight is 13Stewartc not GOM.
13Stewartc gave a lot of vehicles for free to the community and also provided a lot of help to any one trying to start with vehicle modding by providing quality tutorials.
His work is very good quality, all of his vehicles include full LODs and every features R* vehicles have.

Recently he tried to make a living from his tebex store but couldn’t since his post were not approved on the forum resulting in poor performance for his store.

Now R* is doing the right thing and put his work in the Spotlight and it is very much deserved

You should not promote paid or encrypted scripts, as this will breed corruption. I bet there will be news like this in the future:
A Rockstar manager accepted bribes to promote a script
As for server promotion, it’s fine as long as it’s not the notorious nopixel

yeahhhhh

Appreciate the effort to highlight community work but I think it’d really help to bring more transparency to how these spotlights are chosen because right now it’s unclear what criteria are being used, like is it based on popularity, innovation, staff picks etc?

Also if this is meant to represent the ‘community’, then where’s the community involvement? No nominations, no voting, no outreach to find out who’s truly making an impact on the community. Plus featuring paid content like Tebex stores without any disclaimer can make the whole thing feel a bit promotional rather than community focused

There’s definitely potential here, just feels like it could be a lot more meaningful with some changes
