there is. see my reply abit above yours for why.
I said I wonder how long it takes, not when they start my dude but thanks for your comment
I have some questions. Do you plan to have an open roadmap in the future? Another thing, do you plan to present members of the official team? We still don’t know who the real members of Cfx.re are.
Do you plan to monitor paid scripts that are uploaded to the forum? Many scripts uploaded there are just a joke and shouldn’t even exist.
How is there nothing concrete to be said? We just (potentially) lost years of information and discussion over internal drama or who knows what else causes these bi yearly deletions, and there isn’t anything that can be said?
It’s honestly insulting, CFX was a multi million dollar company acting like a group of volunteer hobbyists before the Rockstar acquisition and this behavior has been nothing short of insane. The communication, research, support, etc that goes on in these discords is potentially gone forever without a single comment or explanation and we’re just supposed to be content with no announcement?
FiveM isn’t the personal playground of two or three people, I don’t know why it’s being treated as such and this behavior has continued to be treated as normal for the past few years.
How does this affect other elements such as things like the FN SCAR for example or AK models, I assume this simply falls under the same category and means any/all things such as real models of weapons will need to be removed even if they have branding/logos stripped.
If the models you use are original/you have the rights to them and not ripped from other games, you can use them.
If you use the military designation of these weapons you should be good.
M4 = ok
Colt M4 = no
Edit: For more concrete examples, please see:
For example, if you were to find an original gun model (commission a designer to make an original gun model or purchase the rights to one and have a custom weapon made) that looks similar to a Glock 26, and you wanted to use it on your server, you could call it the Mk 26 Pistol. Military designations and terms are not owned or trademarked by the US government/military (or any militaries globally as far as I’m aware). Calling it by its official designation would not cause you to violate IP.
Calling it the Glock 26, using the Glock 26 model from another game and using that model of a Glock 26 without permission, or a combination of both would violate IP law.
The big question as most communities have been removing copyrights, that no one is asking, is will Rockstar be actively hunting/looking for copyright issues? Or will it be a case-by-case basis, like Dodge reached out over xxx server having xxx vehicle.
Then what happens from there? That’s the transparency we as a community need from FiveM. What is step one? Will the owners be contacted over the copyright situation to get it sorted in a timely manner? Or is it straight shutdown? Or is Rockstar actively searching through the 1000 servers daily?
Too many questions, too much unknown. People need to relax and let time come forward first and not scream dooms day. Hopefully Rockstar will work with all of us.
It’s a good sign they’re hiring new employees. CFX has always had the capability/finances to hire new people. They just never did.
I suspect we’ll probably see a lot of new hires once Rockstar can lay off/restructure the team into an efficient working team instead of the weird boys club it seems to be right now. Those new employees will probably have more agency to take action against this stuff.
No, because that is your doing. Maybe don’t pay for real world branding next time?
What who’d the punishment be if a server still uses real life brands (IP) ?
Most likely they would first get a warning, if they persist, then it would be taken down
Once again RedM is neglected , this isnt a surprise , servers are fully bugged , and yet you still provide ways to build servers and allow people to pay to use certain services that are broken , theres no interest whatsoever
Hiring fivem devs when RedM is behind in so many ways just makes everyone upset because some of us really put our time and effort into RedM and we see it isnt going anywhere.
pull request are being made and also being ignored.
EDIT: I was missInformed And R* really hired someone I thought it was let go, that someone is who put RedM on the map, so hopes were really low, so there are some hopes left…
Fivem Server owners realizing they can no longer make copy and paste ESX servers with a flying Tesla Cybertruck
It’s apparent that RedM has been somewhat overlooked, leaving many of its dedicated users feeling frustrated. The server issues and lingering bugs have undoubtedly been a source of disappointment. It’s disheartening to see services being offered for purchase that aren’t functioning properly, especially when it feels like there’s little attention or care being given to RedM.
The decision to hire FiveM developers while RedM remains in need of improvement has understandably upset the community. Those of us who’ve invested significant time and effort into RedM can’t help but feel that our contributions have gone unnoticed.
While there have been pull requests made to address some of these issues, it can be discouraging when they go unanswered. This can lead to a sense that nothing is truly changing for the better.
In a more positive light, it would be fantastic to see RedM receive the attention and support it deserves. Many passionate users are eager to see it flourish and reach its full potential. By addressing the current issues, embracing community contributions, and ensuring that services provided are of the highest quality, we can work together to breathe new life into RedM and reinvigorate the community’s enthusiasm for this platform.
so are tebex going to refund everyone that purchased Assets that violate this, and also shut down those stores?
So where is the legality with CFX profiting a share portion of all the illegal mods?
Rules for me, not for thee again in this world I swear
So what about private, whitelisted servers that don’t have any income or any stores, and choose to use real-world cars?
PLEASE CFX lisen the devs!!!
