Users have attempted reinstalling FiveM as a whole, clearing the cache, validating GTA V files, and multiple other options. The issue appears to be tied directly to the setr voice_use3Audio true" option directly as it impacts multiple users.

Crash files to be attached; this post will be linked to the HighLife Discord for further user input from those actually affected by this issue. Not all users are affected.

Could you provide any info about your current audio setup, what headset do you have? do you have any other audio devices etc?

The author of this post has posted it on behalf of the members suffering the issue within the server. I myself am suffering from the xaudio crashes within this server. I’m running a Corsair Void Pro headset and I’ve tried all the things mentioned above + validating my windows files. Alongside the Headset I have a Logitech speaker system with a subwoofer. Pre- 3D voice, everything was fine

Which settings are you using on it (in, say, the Corsair drivers), and which specific submodel?

Due to me having the exact same problem, here’s my audio:

  • Headphones: Logitech G635,
Also, I have attached speakers so I swap between the outputs as pleased.
All attempts OccamsSambre tried have been done from my side as well.
If you need additional information, I’ll gladly supply.

So Corsair does not actually provide many specifics regarding this; all the software tells you is what version the headset is on. At the moment, my headset is on Firmware version 0.01 and this is the latest version available. All my audio goes through Realtek on board audio.

I myself am Using a Logitech G Pro Headset, plugged directly into my Mic and Aux ports on the front panel of my PC, would also like to add it runs it’s sound through realtek

For those of you with the xaudio2_9 issue, I have a temporary fix depending if you meet the following requirements:

Right, so what you want to do is have all your audio going through your headset and mic combo. To do this click on the speaker icon on the bottom right and select your device. For myself it is Headset Earphone ( Corsair Void Pro RGB ). Your audio name will vary depending on setup and brand.

After this, you want to launch FiveM and connect to Highlife RP. Once you’ve loaded in, you want to click ESC > Settings > Voice Chat > Output Device > Change your output device to your secondary audio device ( Your speakers ).

Hopefully that small tutorial helps you, it may not fix everyones issues, however I hope it helps at least one or two of you. Please DM me with any questions regarding this.

Additional Information: If you have a headset which uses a 3.5 > USB jack, remove the USB dongle and just plug in the two audio connects into your audio jacks

I’ve been having this issue for couple of days now and I tried everything that has been suggested in this post or in the internet. My headset is Logitech G533 Wireless ( version: 112.0.11) and the crashes am getting are these:

CitizenFX_log_2019-12-08T215024.log (226.8 KB) Here is a crash log from myself, I do not use a USB Connected Headset, as I stated earlier in the thread, they are plugged directly into the front Audio and Mic Jack as I have no access to the back of my PC with ease.

is this using any sort of surround/virtual surround setup?

For myself, my headset has the surround sound capability, however I have it off.

Hello , i crash on highlife rp when people crash ( the only server i play ) if i remove the usb dongle ( which is for 7.1 ) i do not crash , but my headset only has one jack so i dont know if its possible to use my mic when i only have 1 to plug in ( corsair hs 60 ) . Thanks in advance

I believe I do have my surround sound set to 7.1 and on, because I play games like Tarkov and DayZ where sound can be a game changer between life and death?

Yes I do have surround Sound on.
Here is a picture of how it looks.

I use a Logitech Gpro X headset. I use a USB surround sound dongle, I have tried without the dongle and just using a splitter, it still crashed me. I use the Logitech Ghub software if that is any help.
CfxCrashDump_2019_12_09_05_21_18.zip (1.7 MB)

Yes. Surround 7.1 is active and sadly for my headset it’s not possible to swap to stereo of any kind neither to remove the dongle or other attachments.
Regards.

I am also having the same issue with the corsair void pro usb headset.

I’ve also been getting audio crashes with the crash signature: xaudio2_9.dll+1CDF6
I use the Corsair HS60 headset with a USB dongle converter also. I found that once I downloaded a mixer onto my PC I could be in a server with people talking and not crash, however it then made my SFX in game sound disappear from both FiveM & original GTA game. I could not find any solution to revert the sound to come back after this.
I found that I sometimes last up to 30 seconds of someone speaking, and the crashing is brought on quicker if getting into or on vehicles.
