vMenu v3.6.5 (September 2024 Update)
Thank you to all the contributors that have helped bring new features into vMenu and helped keep vMenu up to date with the latest DLC content
Aside from the DLC updates, a lot of new functions have been added to vMenu:
- Player-based custom categories for saved vehicles and characters.
- Boat Anchoring - You can now anchor your boat within the Vehicle Related Options menu.
- Blood Options - You can now change the blood effects on your character within the Player Related Options menu.
- Custom Vehicle Colours using RGB values (its own item - not replaced)
- Changed the way you toggle vMenu/No Clip - It is now keymappings based. (Clients/Players can set their own keybinds)
- Other misc related changes.
Keymappings
For server owners that are confused as to how keymappings work, or think they have problems with changing the keymappings keys in the permissions.cfg file, please research how keymappings are used.
The keymappings keys set in the permissions.cfg file are not permanent, they are used to set the default keys for players that do not have keybinds setup on their client for the resource.
For reference, if you join your server before changing the default keymappings values in the permissions.cfg, and then change the keys, they will not change on your game as they have already been set to the previous keys, only new players will have the new keys by default.
Either, change the keybindings manually in your FiveM settings under Keybindings → FiveM, or change the vmenu_keymapping_id value in the permissions.cfg file to something different (this will set the new keys as the players defaults).
Multiple servers can have the same vmenu_keymapping_id value.
For Example:
If you have a keybind set to “F1” using the vmenu_keymapping_id value of “Something”, if other servers are using the same vmenu_keymapping_id value, your keybind will be “F1” on all those servers, if another server is not using the same vmenu_keymapping_id value, your keybind will be the one you set up for that servers vmenu_keymapping_id value (or it will be the default server keybind if you have not changed your keybind)
Edit: Sorry for the long explanation of Keymappings, I have had many people ask why it doesnt work, and have had to explain it multiple times. So I decided to add this here for future reference.
Keymapping Values
vmenu_menu_toggle_key - Default “M”
vmenu_noclip_toggle_key - Default “F2”
vmenu_keymapping_id - Default “Default”
If anyone has any questions regarding Keymappings, Please ask here, I am sure there are other people that will be able to explain how all this works better than I can
If anyone faces any bugs or has suggestions/feedback regarding vMenu, Reply to this message!
Cheers!
