Smart Drone - Remote Controlled, Live Camera, Thermal Imaging, Night Vision [Paid Resource]

SmartDrone - London Studios - (Paid Resource)

This premium resource is a great addition to any roleplay server, providing a remote-controlled drone experience with a live camera that is adjustable, thermal imaging, night vision and the ability to automatically land. This will enhance realism for all people on scene - even civilians if you choose to allow them to use this.

A large amount of development has gone into this resource, including the scripting from London Studios and one of our partners, Adam Fenton, for creating the custom model.

This plugin is made by LondonStudios, we have created a variety of releases including TaserFramework, SearchHandler, ActivateAlarm, SmartTester, SmartSounds, CustodyAlarm, SmartObservations and more!

Features

  • Remote Control - Unlike other drones seen in the past, you are not required to physically drive this yourself and get inside. This is fully remote controlled using the keys above. You can be stood on the edge of an incident and fly the drone in, getting a full view of the situation by enabling the live camera.
  • Night vision / Thermal imaging - Many emergency situations require the use of night vision or thermal imaging, such as searching for a wanted or missing person. Alternatively, fire and rescue teams may use this to analyse a situation, looking at how the fire is spreading and if anyone else is inside. Your imagination is the limit.

Framework Integration - vRP / ESX / Others

  • Permission checks - You can easily edit the sv_drone.lua file to add permissions.

Very nice work, looks just like my DJI Inspire 1. Does the camera actually rotate / articulate for others?

Amazing resource. Don’t forget the paid tag so you don’t get people who doesn’t like paid resources bitching around.

Hey,

Thanks for the feedback, we are glad you like it.

Unfortunately the camera does not rotate for others, however we’ve tried to make it as realistic as possible.

Thanks,
London Studios

Little question, does the drone make sound ? I mean … a flying drone sound ?
Also could it be hunt down ? If a player shoot the drone, does it do anything to the drone ?

Hey,

It replaces the frogger helicopter, it sounds similar to a drone, possibly louder. It can be hunted down, shooting it would likely cause it to become damaged, start smoking and fall out of the sky - similar to what would happen if you shot a helicopter.

Thanks,
London Studios

Hey,

Thanks, we’re glad you like the resource. Unfortunately we have no forum permission to give ourselves the Paid tag, however on each of our paid resources the moderation team have done this for us.

Thanks,
London Studios

Is it possible to rename or change the spawn name of the drone? I noticed with the EOD robot the airport has a bunch of robots driving around since it replaces the airtug, and wouldn’t want the same thing with the drone

I see in the TEBEX store that you use IP Whitelisting. So if for some reason, your validation server is down or if you decide to stop doing FiveM resources, anyone who uses this is outta luck?

Hi,

In that situation we would fully release the source code and resource to all of our paying customers.

Thanks,
London Studios

See above

Very nice work!

Just one question : Is the script encrypted/obfuscated in any part of it? If yes, does that only include your whitelist system or all code for the script.

Thanks.

Hi,

The code is not easily changeable in the file. You can fully edit the sv_drone.lua file to add permission checks and link it in with a database. If you want to make changes to the client file, we may be able to do it if it is small for you. Just let us know through DM.

Thanks,
London Studios

Hi,

This would be possible, we would have to make the drone an addon vehicle, rather than replacing the frogger helicopter. However, there are not as many frogger helicopters as part of AI in comparison to the vehicle used in the EOD script - so this should not cause issues.

Let us know if you have any further questions.

Thanks,
London Studios.

Is this written in lua? If so, is it obfuscated?

Their scripts has Ip based whitelist, so they are obfuscated

Dude this looks sick!

Ah okay thanks for the information! Personally I would prefer an addon version, but this is still pretty nice!
