[SirenSharp] v0.3 Custom Server Sided Sirens

Hi All,

Today I released the newest version of SirenSharp - a tool I created to streamline the process of creating server sided sounds resources for FiveM.

Although the name is SirenSharp, you are able to use this tool to create resources for sounds other than sirens. For example:

  • Weapon sounds
  • Ped sounds
  • Vehicle sounds

To get started, head over to the Github repo and download the latest release (v0.3).

If you want a full tutorial showing how to use this tool with a resource like LVC:Fleet, check out this Youtube video.

If you wan’t to see the paper docs for this, head over here.

If you need any other help, or come across any errors/bugs, create an issue on the Github page.

Enjoy!

It uses CodeWalker’s libraries to convert .wav files into .awc files which GTA 5 and FiveM are able to read and play from.

Nice Script dude, but it is Working with ELS-FiveM?

Are you giving support ?

It doesn’t play the sounds, it just streams them. You will need to find a resource that can play custom sirens.

You can find the support channels on the Github page

Hey, how to create custom weapon sounds? dont understand it

does it need to be loaded in some kind or am i able to just run the created resource ? like an replacement

Can’t recommend this resource enough.

I have tried using a few different free server siren resources in the past with a lot of time and frustration due to how long configuration took or dealing with issues that arise.

This alongside LVC Fleet was quick to setup, user friendly and worked immediately in game.

When I had an issue with generating my first siren resource I joined the discord and immediately got support for how to fix my .wav files to ensure they worked correctly.

Brilliant release.

Maybe I understand this tool wrong, but this seems to be a general native audio creation tool correct @BJDubb? Might be good to rename/add some additional info, because your tool makes native audio library creation pretty simple.

I’ll need to mess around with it (I’m using this for something not related to sirens) but it should work for creating any custom awc right?

Great work regardless, I wouldn’t have found this if I didn’t run into issues with audio banks not unloading with LVCv3 and started to research fleet/other tools connected to it.

Absoultely correct. The process/technology this app uses is applicable to general native audio.

SirenSharp was created as a solution to a niche problem. Of course the code and the UI can be adapted to a general use case but I learned and built this with LVC/siren usage in mind.

If a general WAV to AWC converter is something you would be interested in, I would consider taking the time to write such an app.

Would you be willing to provide permission (via GPL 3.0 or any other license you see fit) for others to modify sirensharp?

Would be nice to build on top of it if you’d like to keep SirenSharp specifically focused on Sirens and not general native audio generation.

The project is techincally open source, but I’ll add a license for your peace of mind.

Thank you, I really appreciate your work on this!

All good.

If you do end up building something off of the underlying system SirenSharp uses, please ping me in it. I’d love to see what you build!
