I would say you had it coming not converting your server to the new FXServer as they stated clearly on August 15th CitizenMP Server will no longer be a thing.
You had more than a month to port all your files to FXServer, that would not take you a week to do. It’s not FiveM’s team fault for you being irresponsible and/or lazy.
I’m not saying on the contrary that I was not going to go under fxserver
However it’s not all the scripts that its compatible now
and some server might have wanted to keep their current stable version
rather than switch to the new unstable version
FXS has been considered ‘stable’ ever since the deprecation announcement. That user scripts somehow relied on NeoLua due to badly copy/pasting code is not our problem - you had a month to identify these issues.
Keeping CFX alive in any way is a bad idea. It would mean they would have to keep giving some support, create a new server browser, and fix serious bugs. All this and people would still complain about max players, bugs, performance, and report CFX bugs or make suggestions. This is valuable time lost to helping a VERY small portion of players/owners. Don’t forget people can be extremely unaware of basic things, and not understand that there are 2 different types of servers, which again causes, more strain to the mods/devs, imagine resource makers having to release 2 versions of their scripts or getting spammed with requests to do so.
Also, FX Servers are already a great upgrade, with more players and c# server side scripting. They are also required for the devs to progress, and there was a months notice to convert any bad scripts.
FX servers are more stable than CFX, also why do you think multiple submits are a bad thing? It shows progress, is it somehow bad Fivem upload improved versions often?
Yes FX is more stable from what I have experienced . The daily builds is a good thing as you get slightly a better version each day - or would you rather wait a month between small updates?
And really, there is no point in complaining about your server no longer available. They gave plenty of warning (weeks) about it and advised people to start porting over scripts if needed which most have before they stopped supporting/listing them in server list - they also gave reasons why it was being discontinued.
So when you said that people can no longer join your server - the devs are not ones responsible.
Are you posting server builds as a reason for it not being stable? Do you even know what changed in each build? Some of those were adding valuable natives to use for scripts to make things like turn signals and getting vehicles rpms and such possible without hacked solutions.
I mean the elements are doing this for free. In their free time, and the project is open source. If you don’t like the direction it’s heading take it in a direction of your choice. Make a community with the other people who only wanted to use cfx.
It’s pretty sad to see these kind of topics over and over or people talking like it’s the end of days.
Also let me guess you haven’t given anything to the community of which you a disparaging. None of us are entitled to anything. The elements could quit tomorrow and the project would be dead. So instead show some appreciation and if you’re having trouble ask for support. I’m sure there are people here who are willing to help port or help you troubleshoot issues.
I think what most people are running into is they relied on scripts from other people that aren’t ported and have no idea how to script. So instead of taking responsibility for your shortcomings your blaming others. I’m not trying to be rude but what I’m saying is take a step back and look at yourself before you comment on the devs of this community.
I am not accusing anyone and I do not come here to complain that my server is not available
I opened the subject just to have opinions of the community
And in no way am I blaming someone for something
You can also note that the subject is open in general discussion
