[Are you posting server builds as a reason for it not being stable? Do you even know what changed in each build? Some of these have been made available to the public.
– I’m nothing to publish at all (otherwise I do not understand your sentence’s forgiven me)
[I mean the elements are doing this for free. In their free time, and the project is open source. If you do not like the direction it’s heading take it in a direction of your choice. Make a community with the other people who only wanted to use cfx.]
– I am very good that the dev of fivem do that time lost and for the same pleasure as me and my games server I do not denigrate anyone in this subject thank you to take the time to read the comments
[It’s pretty sad to see these kind of topics over and over or people talking like it’s the end of days.]
– Otherwise it can be me who expresses me incorrectly as said above
English is not my language of orgine
[Let me also guess that you have given nothing to the community of which you are unpleasant. None of us is entitled to anything. The elements could leave tomorrow and the project would be dead. So rather shows some appreciation and if you have trouble asking for support. I’m sure there are people who are willing to help you or help you solve the problems.]
– If I can help to the best of my knowledge I will do it after I am not a professional coder either
[I think most people meet, they rely on other people’s scripts that are not worn and have no idea how to script. So, instead of taking responsibility for your weaknesses, you will be angry. I do not try to be rude, but what I’m saying is to back off and look at you before you comment on the developers of that community.
The thing is you do not have to be a professional coder to give back to community. Have you contributed to the elements patreon? Have you helped other users solve issues that you have?
I knew 0 Lua before coming here and only have very minimal html knowledge. It took me about a month but I’ve released my first script. I don’t run a server because I know I don’t have all the tools it takes to do that. If i did it’d just be a fun for friends server. I’m really not trying to insult you but I’m guessing if you can’t convert scripts within a month you shouldn’t be running a server. Unless it’s just for fun or learning purposes.
As for the discussion of the topic no this isn’t rip fiveM. It’s growth in a direction that they’ve chose and I’m happy to be here for the ride!
I understand your point of view
And personally I have a server for my own learning
Afterwards if you doubt my activity on the forum you can see my profiles that speaks of itself and will give you an idea of whether or not I help when I can it must also take into account that I work and I Can not be the a every day x) like everyone else
I am not open this topic to complain or others only to have opinions from other person and who know maybe someone will have a solution to keep the CFX alive
For my by I already start looking for FX several week
I am not against the contrary I believed only that the access to the server via direct connect would remain a valid option for the deprived comunauter who do their little project for the pleasure;)
Removing the legacy server from the list is not a bad idea.
But blocking all connexion to it from the direct connect is dumb.
It’s stated clearly that there will be no more support for CFX but us that use it and had no problem, shouldn’t be blocked to use it. Atleast, give us the choice to play Legacy or not, just like RUST did when they switched their server base.
CFX was needing to be upgraded IMO, I’ve had countless crashes on cfx servers and so have my friends, and again leaving them active means more work and confusion over such a little issue. There are not many scripts to convert anyway.
To be fair though even rust (an actual game with a studio of developers working in a pre built game engine (unity)),still removed the option to use legacy servers due to the hassle it caused and its lack of players.
Even tho they removed it, it was still accessible for over a month when the change was there.
Now with FX server once there is 6 players online the server is starting to show error and everyone is being put into an instance. There’s more desync problem than CFX.
Personally, I haven’t experienced anything that bad, but I have noticed some more desync, however with old the CFX servers I would crash very often, it even started to put me off FiveM. Again legacy Rust was kept because it was a different game than new Rust as well as a placeholder for new rust development (which was super bare bones at the time). Also make sure to report any bugs like that, as that sound extremely bad.
I’m sorry but, you’re comparing a studio who has like 50+ (maybe more) developers working full-time on a game against an open source project with 11 core developers who, are working on it in their spare time. So, this isn’t a fair comparison to begin with. Also, I don’t understand why the small development team should keep an old, outdated software alive when they get enough grief from player’s as it is. If they kept up with development of the old server, they would have to deal with more complaints and, provide more support. Do you see how this could be an issue?
To add, we’ve also been given a month to switch over. If you’re a server owner, you’ve had a month to get developers to port their scripts over and to see if they work (it doesn’t take a month to do this, couple of weeks max). It’s not the developer’s fault you’ve not ported your scripts over.
And, you’ve had that month for FiveM as well…
OK? Report it… I’m sure the development would like to know when an issue like this appears… If you’re getting these issues because of non-ported resource then, I’m sorry to say this, its your fault.
Sounds bad, the best thing to do is just to submit a bug report with all the information you can, after all FiveM is still a mod, so bugs are always highly likely.
It took me like 3 minutes to port my CitizenMP resources to FXServer. So far, FXServer seems to run fine on Windows but on Linux there seems to be an issue because it just crashes after several hours of being online.
