Problem with my server key

I started my Patreon with FiveM yesterday afternoon (the $15 tier) but am not sure how to go about getting the perks. I’ve generated a new key for the server on the key management website and added it to the cfg. Am I missing something or is there something I should be seeing? I’m a little confused, so any help would be massively appreciated

You didn’t have to do this. Any new and existing keys have the policies that you get with the Patreon tier you pledged with.

As for benefits, you will get them automatically and will be able to use them yourself. You don’t perse get anything, you will have to implement it yourself.

There may be some other benefits, but these three are the ones you’re most likely to use.

Thanks for the info. The reason I generated a new key was because the server was being run by a friend but as the email addresses needed to match and I was the one becoming a Patreon, I generated a new key under my name.

The bonuses have now appeared. Thank you for the help.

Ok, in a big twist…

The keygen shows that I have the Argentum tier but the actual server still doesn’t display anything about it being linked. I’m literally pulling my hair out at this stage! I’m really not sure what to do at this point :frowning:

Hey have you put the license key into your server.cfg ??

Yep. I’ve created a new key and tried that too but it still didn’t work.

Strange

yep. I just don’t understand it. I’m clearly linked so why the server isn’t picking it up is confusing af!

What is your IP and port?

167.114.53.61:30120

Hmm, strange. You’re running correct artifacts - which is what I thought was the problem. You, for some reason, don’t have the correct policies, can you show a screenshot of the following:

  1. The keymaster page from your perspective (logged in from u/PapaHedge) - please blur out the majority of the license key, leave the first 5 characters or so.
  2. Your server config showing where you are defining the license key - again, don’t put the entire license key, leave the first 5 characters.

I did read the help file and it said to set the IP to 0.0.0.0 if you’re having problems, which is why it’s the way it is.

That server isn’t registered using a key from your account, instead it’s using a key on this account:

How is that possible? My keys match up from the keygen and on the config. I’m even more confused now!

So how would I go about resolving that?

That’d imply that the config doesn’t match with what you’re currently running.

But it does though, they are the same numbers. Is there any other places the key can be pulled from other than the server.cfg file?

I really need help resolving this, if anyone can help, now’s your time to shine!

Read a bit 'bout your topic and even if it was on a different account you should still be able to use that license. the only thing I could suggest is when you are running the server that you need to specify to run the server.cfg where you put the license key in.

Also in server.cfg I see that you are using a different format when setting the license key, perhaps try using the one i mentioned below and do remember to change the key inside the quotations.

set sv_licenseKey "SnailIChooseYou"

Thanks for the suggestions, it’s massively appreciated. I’ve double checked to make sure we’re pointing to the right config and we are.

As for the config line, I’ve changed it and will give it a go. I’ll let you know how I get on.

Thanks again!
