anyway to use this, without it being a gun? Pretty sure this will get my members killed by our LEO when they are just trying to winch a car xD

Maybe the wrench or something?

Thank you

Resmon results

Idle :

Idle with 4 ropes :
Aiming (highest, because of raycasting) :

You can customize the weapon used to create rope, the only requirement is that you should be able to aim with this weapon (a flashlight works but a wrench doesn’t)

I might change the way of pointing if you’re not the only one finding it inconvenient

does it replace a weapon, or have its own I am assuming?

my thoughts too… lol seeing people fly away after being winched or some dope getaways lol

It doesn’t replace a weapon, it uses an already existing weapon and prevents the player from firing with it.
When the left click is pressed, the rope is created

I can say we had a lot of fun testing this yes :joy: We tried pulling a plane with two semi, making a chain of vehicles attached to each other and so on…

biggest question, lol can you attach people?

Yes :upside_down_face:

I recommend the WEAPON_GADGETPISTOL, it doesn’t look like a regular gun

will be buying in future, GLWS! Thanks for the quick replies. <3

Please lemme know if you do end up changing this.

I might suggest vehicle bone recognition, and a client sided draw line to the selected bone.

Our current towing script uses that method, it draws a line to the center mass of each vehicle to allow the selection. This would solve accidental murders, and might look clean.

I just published an update :innocent:

It now uses the mouse and not a gun

oooo mouse is a lot better! lol.

Is there a command to trigger the action? or just anytime you look at a car?

You press E to activate the mouse and left click to validate (both are configurable)

Question, is this script encrypted or is it fully open to edits?

As stated in the description of the original post, it’s encrypted but some parts are configurable
