Hello there i have just upgrade my server artif. to newest version 2830 and i started my server (2430 recommended artif.) and i have a lot of logs what i dont understand how to fix it.

So simply every car on my server and every map (mlo) using too much virutal memory. Is there any way to fix all those ydr files?

Exactly the same issue, even when you try grabbing the .meta files from another car that do work.

You need to resize the textures on the files that are giving this message.

Even when the files are under the 16mb limit?

Yes the texture size should be no larger than 1024x1024 but 512x512 id recommend for most textures.

Is there any tutorial of doing it?

I have don that with all the file that reported on my server but its not the sollution!!!
I have resize all textures and still warnings about physical memory

Have used the [[Tutorial] Compress ytd files faster and easier] but its still not the sollution

Note that you’re not required to change them but its rather recommended to change them at this point.

The tutorial that was shared above does effectively work though.

all the files I have resize with 50 (like the tutorial says) and non of them are about 512 x 512…
The only files there are someone above the 512x512 are the purple one… And in the tutorial they say NOT to change or resize the purple one… So all don but stil files are reported for phydical memory…

So whats the problem then ?

Yeah, I would just ignore those ā€˜errors’ then. We have around 200 custom cars on my Dutch server (which is a lot) and we’re not experiencing any issues whatsoever without optimising our textures. Maybe something we would/should do in the near future. US server running with only 10-12ish custom cars and we do not see any big difference in perfomance whatsoever.

Thats Just the case… Its not only by car files also by MLO’s and custom clothes… I started the resize for making the ā€œerrorā€ go away not to ignore them

Yeah, I get that.

Its pretty easy for cars and clothes but don’t know about MLO’s though, it don’t particulary sounds ā€˜easy’ to do.

But it is not working like I say.
Because we have resize the hole car pack with 2 persons and with using the resized pack still the errors about the cars

And I think the problem is by the purple files that can not be resized. The purple files they are lager then 512x512 so I think thats the problem… But on the tutorial they say don’t resize the purple ones

if you have changed the file ā€œstreamā€
try to clear the server cache, to see the new physical memory

Problem is becouse most of 90% of ydr files are locked so you cant do anything much.

you can unlock with codewalker v 30.
open ydr file use CodeWalker RPF Explorer, and save As at another Folder.
and I don’t why the ydr file to be unlock

I would be need help for this one too. Export as what?

U can edit all YDR files with OpenIV
