As discussed in multiple topics, it is against Rockstar’s rules to be importing GTAIV’s map into FiveM, and I believe there was also an announcement from FiveM telling us that it isn’t allowed.
This all make sense to me, but why is it not enforced?
If you go to FiveM’s server list and search for “New York City” or “Liberty City”, there’s a handful of servers not refraining from putting those keywords in their title, essentially advertising the use of GTAIV’s map.
Moreover, one doesn’t even need to know about FiveM to observe this happening. There’s been a surge of streamers streaming FiveM with the Liberty City map, getting hundreds to thousands of views live.
Take-Two is known for not being a fan of people messing with their IP, and if they were willing to go after a restaurant, I fail to see why they won’t be mad about the people reselling their map and the platform it is used on. I really don’t care about those selling it, I’m just extremely worried about FiveM.
