[How-To] How to Replace your Skydome Texture

Howdy Folks, this How-To/Tutorial is meant to teach you how to replace your skydome texture.

Too Lazy to Read? Heres a video!

Alright, so I have Terrov Graphics Pack installed, so I’m not sure if the files needed come in base FiveM. If they don’t, install Terrov, it’s nice.

Step 1: Navigate to your FiveM Application Data to ensure the files are there
Step 2: Once There, go into citizen > platform > textures
Step 3: Ensure skydome.ytd is there, if it is move on. If not install Terrov (or your own that you choose, I ain’t your dad)
Step 4: Open OpenIV
Step 5: Press File, Open Folder, find the textures folder that I had you navigate to and open it in OpenIV
Step ^: Turn on edit mode, open skydome.ytd, replace starfield

Boom, done. Launch up FiveM and look at your new sky. I personally recommend Version 3 of the Blue Stars when I’m not using Happy Faces.

Very late edit I realized I never did here, this has like 50/50 chance of working.

I think you may even be able to stream that server-side, did you try doing that by any chance?

I’ll try to see if I can, it should work in the same format as a regular YMAP.

That would be great, ill wait :stuck_out_tongue:

I’m not able to get it to work

I dont have a textures folder

i also cant find texture files

FiveM has updated alot in the past few years. So some folders may not exist. However, any .ytd i mention can be ripped out of the actual game files using OpenIV. Just launch it and search for it.

i made my own and i got the textures and i replaced the skydome in editer mode but when i load up in fivem it dont pop up what i do
