I don’t mean to be rude but just pointing out here that Windows 7 is EOL and you really should get off of it as it won’t receive more updates and therefore opens up risks of your computer being more easy to hack.
But yes, FiveM is broken on Win7 and you all just need to wait until there is a fix released.
I wouldn’t be entirely surprised if Cfx fully drops support for Win7 for FiveM at some point, just an opinion with no facts to back that up though.
Just as a reminder @Hirig888, If you scroll a few posts up and click the link, it does state that the team over at Cfx are aware of this and have stated that it’s due to be worked on for us. The only solution is the to be patient at this time until Cfx push an update resolving this issue.
I prefer W7 as well, still waiting for my new computer before switching to 10 to play some newer games. But this one gonna stay on 7 for older games that are pretty much not working on 10. So yeah, just gonna wait for the FiveM update for now.
Yes, i saw, i am aware, just so people know that this is not an isolated incident, i just tried again, i saw five downloading some updates, but still the same, will not start, just sits in the task manager, what a pitty… Was there a official fix or its not know at this point?
We appreciate your hard work, sit here, patiently since we can do nothing more, constant moaning wont get us nowhere. But as things look, i better start looking for Windows10…
glad to hear that you guys are working on it, but for a game that fully supports windows 7 i would expect more support from you, not meaning to offend the cfx team but you guys should put more effort in w7 updates if the game itself fully supports it.
This whole nonsense about needing to worry about a lack of security updates is just sad. There are only two things you really need to worry about when it comes to computer security, no matter which OS you use: safe browsing and regular backups. I hear complaints all the time about how important WU is, but the only time you have to worry about constant security updates is if your family member browses, downloads, etc. without regard for whatever iSTDs she may come across.
