Failed to obtain Steam ticket, Failed to start the Steam client, please make sure Steam is installed. This error keeps popping up all of a sudden even though it was WORKING PERFECTLY fine yesterday without me even altering the game files itself. I have tried EVERYTHING. Normally, by now, a I would have already fixed it but I am ripping my hair out trying to get this to work… If anyone has ran into this issue before and fixed it please let me know. Again, I have tried literally everything…
What have you tried already to fix the issue?
Repaired Steam, Checked to see if services.msc steam was running, verified gta 5 files, reinstalled fivem, reset firewall, reset pc, task managed steam and fivem and launched steam first to try and fix it. Again I HAVE TRIED EVERYTHING… This is the worst error I have had in years or even at all.

Hello can you please check if Steam is running as admin? With new changes Steam needs to not be running as an admin for RedM to be able to authenticate with it.
I’m having the same problem. I tried running Steam as administrator, it didn’t work. I uninstalled and reinstalled it, but it still didn’t work. I’m trying everything, but the error is always the same.
Dude ive been having the same issue, still no fix, i reinstalled, cleared cache, reset router, restarted PC multiple times, made sure steam was up to date + ran it as admin and NOTHING
hey brother, dont know if youre still facing the issue, but i found a fix, i guess fivem has updated something allowing steam to run more properly, but with that, it WILL NOT WORK if you ARE running steam as admin, you have to uncheck that box in the steam properties and then it should work, You may have to run fivem as admin as well, make both these changes and then restart your pc and it should work
