Are you using any third-party antivirus/“endpoint security” software? They’re the most common cause for this kind of error in my experience

I use Microsoft AntiVirus along with MalwareBytes but this has never happened before, I was playing FiveM just a day before this happened and it was working perfectly not an issue.

I suggest (temporarily) whitelisting FiveM and all of its folders and processes in Malwarebytes, it’s not impossible that a new update or something has caused it to start having an issue

how do I whitelist fivem cant find any vids on it

Open up Malwarebytes, it’s there somewhere - I presume whitelisting the FiveM install folder (wherever you have it) should be enough

Unfortunately I’m still getting the same crash message

Alright, delete your FiveM install entirely and re-download it from scratch over a PC restart, let’s see if that helps

Do you mean completely wiping my PC and redownloading everything or just deleting all FiveM files and reinstalling FIvem?

Just FiveM, nuking the entire PC is a very radical measure lol

same thing, it doesn’t even give it enough time to download the files

That’s wild
What Windows are you on? 10 or 11?

Windows 10, Im honestly so confused how this happened like it was normal just a day ago

Yeah, strange indeed. Make sure to manually check for any new updates and do a full malware scan via Malwarebytes, just in case

I’ve already check all my drivers through device manager, along with nivida and windows updates, I’ve ran 2 quick scan, 1 from windows defender and the other malwarebytes, I can try running a full scan but I thought their the same thing as quick scans honestly lol

They’re very much not, quick scan only scans where malware is most likely to be, a full scan does everything. Do a full scan anyway lol

alright, I just started the scan I’ll let you know how it goes once it’s done, might be a couple of hours

malwarebyte scan go so slow should I use windows defender instead or is it not as good? its been 1 hour and only scanned 300k things

If it’s already going then just leave it be, it’s more of a precautionary measure anyway in your case
