With version 3.0 being heavily focused on PvP and millions in the bank to waste, we have decided to spice things up a bit…

We’re excited to announce that this Friday, March 8, 2024, the CnR:NG Admin Team will be taking the day off. In other words, we will NOT be punishing players for breaking the rules. So gather your friends, DM those players you dislike, and talk shit until you’re blue in the face.

Admins will be abusing hosting mad events, and more importantly, everyone that joins on Friday will be eligible for an exclusive “Player Title” that will be arriving in a future update.

We hope to see you all there!

Organizations, unlocking a new realm within CNR! With an exciting DLC on the horizon and a slew of enhancements, prepare for a reinvigorated CNR experience! Introducing with pride, version 3.0 of the Cops & Robbers: Next Generation gamemode.

FRESH START - CAREERS RESET

  • Everyone’s current life stats have been reset, so everyone starts fresh! This reset doesn’t affect your connect time, total score and total stats

Police System

  • New police vehicles with location-specific fleet offers and discounts (Special thanks to Howlan and Preacher)
  • Special vehicles for Police Commissioners (WoTW)
  • New dumpster search and items discard, dynamic handling of players’ discarded items
  • Police Departments now offer more weapons, increased credit chances, and higher credit limits
  • Jail / Bribe rework - reworked jail times (max jail time 1m30s), players may bail out of jail regardless of the crime history
  • Lower Temporary Cop enrollment time, added cooldown information
  • More bonuses for police officers, increased salaries
  • Manhunt System - felons that commit few major crimes in a row get a “bounty” on their name, can’t lose Wanted Level/Resisting until new identity

Gameplay Changes & Balancing

• Revert ragdoll changes to GTA V Vanilla
• Assault on a Peace Officer is now a felony
• Resisting Arrest - Replaced timers with range. Resisting will no longer decay when near police officers to avoid odd scenarios.
• Resisting Arrest - Driving Bike, Boats, Aircraft or swimming will trigger Resisting Arrest if police officers are nearby.
• Changed Jail / Police Spawns - Civilians will always spawn outside PD buildings. Cops with a hit will always spawn near doors.
• Removed “Armored Tires” item - All vehicles have armored tires by default. Spike strips are still effective.
• Deploying Spike Strip is now instantaneous, reducing police credit price cost and the amount cops can carry (5 to 3).
• Removed MiniSMG/MicroSMG/Machine Pistol as Drive-By weapons
• Manhunt - Decrease price for removing manhunt by 50%; force manhunt price for disappearers (or default value, whichever is lower)
• New Skill: Survivalist, replacing Fisher. Merged fishing and hunting perks for Survivalists
• Removed the Prostitute Skill
• Added Carbine Rifle MK2 for the default weapon loadout for police, reduced prices for weapons when refilling
• Increased Police Reward for Arrests, Tickets and Takedowns
• Adjusted the police credit prices for police vehicles at PD garages
• Police should now receive credits faster, after each police activity (e.g. arrest)
• Increased Police Training and Server Tour rewards
• Improvements to Health Loss in No-DM Zones if the player has a hit
• Improvements to Fishing - Removed some negative events, and added more positive events. Bumped fish sell prices.

• Chat decluttering - Less Spam, Skill-Specific prints instead of all

• Fixed stacking animal traps on top of each other
• Fixed a few “broken” vehicles that show “On Foot” status while players are driving them

• Fixed a few broken robbery endpoints (mainly for Bennys)

Version 4.1 is here. We are not done with the Casino yet, so we added a fan-favorite Blackjack and made various Casino tweaks including a new top reward for the Spinning Wheel: Properties. We have also made a changes to how vehicle insurance work, allowing players to go into debt before losing their beloved vehicle collection.

New Features:

  • Added Blackjack (also available at the High Roller Tables)
  • Added a new ATM to the casino
  • Added a chance to win properties from the Lucky Wheel
  • Redesigned the elevator system

Gameplay Changes, Balancing & QoL improvements:

  • If you cannot pay for your vehicle insurance, you will go into debt instead of losing your vehicle.
  • Minor buff to horse betting: if your horse finishes second, you get your bet back.
  • Adjusted taxes for casino wins.
  • Tweaked revenge criteria for casino games. It should be less fun-killing now.
  • Vehicle preview upon winning a casino vehicle is now kept for longer.
  • Added a message for players inside the casino when a new special bet is available.
  • Changed roulette to American roulette (green 00 added).
  • Increased the maximum horse betting limit to 5 million.
  • Adjusted payouts for Jacks or Better.

Other stuff & Bugfixes:

  • Fixed issues with the Lucky Wheel getting stuck (still occasionally problematic).
  • Fixed random customization not working in the Donator’s Lounge.
  • Fixed Jacks or Better games canceling/getting stuck when exiting the checkpoint.
  • Police weapons are now removed when resigning from the police force.
  • Various other fixes and tweaks.
  • Minor optimizations for better server performance

We hope you are enjoying the vacations season! While the Dev Team is currently working on Version 4.3 - and trust me, it is - literally - we wanted to give a bit of a twist this weekend and try something different.

Test Weekend - 24 Aug 2024
Restricted Weapons

We have added several weapons that are considered controversial. We want to see how they would affect the gameplay, and the overall balance, with the hopes of creating new dynamics, and hopefully fun gameplay. These weapons are added for both, civilians and police officers and will be available at AmmuNations.

  • Cosmetic: Smoke Grenade Launcher / Flare / Flare Gun - max 5 ammo - 25k each
  • Lethal: Tear Gas / Molotov - max 5 ammo - 50k each
  • Anti-vehicle: EMP Launcher - max 3 ammo - 100k each
  • Big boy: Firework Launcher - max 3 ammo - 300k each

Drive-By Weapons

When we reverted the changes to ragdoll, we also removed some drive-by weapons with the hope of giving people ragdolling a chance - it didn’t really change the outcome, and the result was overly long chases. With that said, we have enabled the fan-favorite drive-by weapons to see how it plays out. Extended clips are still disabled.

NPC Police

NPC police units are now dispatched at Wanted Level 6+. Their aggressiveness is based on your wanted level. NPC police is not dispatched during a Blackout.

Login Streak Rewards

Earn escalating rewards for consecutive daily logins!
Player Tracking Option: Players can now allow themselves to be tracked by others. Use /allowtracking ID. GPS Tracking is always available between police officers and members of the same organization.

Misc

Added a new map for the Killhouse with some some quality-of-life tweaks.
The /givegift command is now available year-round, with adjusted prices.
US Server wouldn’t be a US server without a taste of Freedom. Added a chat Filter /filter (player) command. Your chat, you chose what you want to see (or not).

Gameplay Changes & Balancing

New Rule for Police Officers
  1. Response to criminal activity
    Police officers must attempt to stop all criminal activity within their immediate vicinity or avoid being in range of the criminal activity or felons. If another police officer is engaged with a felon, all nearby, available officers must respond and assist them.
Robberies and Heists

Increased payouts for successful robberies and heists across the board.
Lowered cooldowns for store, bank, and heist robberies for faster-paced gameplay.
Disabled store holdup shootout chance for smoother heist flow.
Increased the chance of successful bank robberies and heists. ~1/100 fail change as a civilian, and ~1/40 as a felon.
Reduced cooldowns for store, bank, and heist robberies to promote faster pacing.

Wanted System

Decreased revenge times and wanted level decay rates to speed up gameplay.
Slight improvements to revenge blip sync.
Death Row: No longer removes all weapons, but takes a larger percentage of ammo. Weapon licenses are no longer removed.

Vehicles

Lowered vehicle insurance fees.
Adjusted tire bursting mechanics, fixed few bugs where tires wont be armored after vehicle is fixed.
CNR:NG Vehicles: Custom vehicles can now be sold as intended.

Fishing and Drugs

Reduced chances of negative events during fishing.
Lowered negative event probabilities for drug planting/production.

Missions

Increased ATM robbery and arson mission payouts substantially.
Increased Paramedic payouts for Rescue Calls.
Improved mechanics for the Disappearer mission with an extended time limit.

Casino

Reduced Casino lucky wheel cooldowns.
Adjusted Casino payouts to align better with taxes and market systems.

New Players

Tweaked onboarding tour for newcomers.
Prevented spawn killing for new players.

Minor tweaks to pet mechanics for improved functionality.
Fixed the /i command to display achievement titles instead of skin classes.

Important information

The new US Server is currently in a new infrastructure and we are currently monitoring its performance.
NPC Police is a substantial change to the gameplay balance, so we will be monitoring it closely.
Police Rule 7 aims to address all grey areas of cherry-picking - the grace period will be 7 days.

UPDATE! v5.0

Version 5.0 Summary

Version 5.0 is here, and it’s packed with some fresh updates! We’ve added a brand new armory system for properties , fresh emergency vehicles , and some sleek exclusive liveries. The NUI system got a facelift, you can now copy outfits, and we’ve made body armor refillable. Organizations can have their own logos, and there’s a shiny new organization browser to check out. We’ve also added progress bars, map tooltips, better password change support, and a bunch of other cool stuff!

We’ve also made some rule changes

Merging rules 1 & 2
Respect everyone, but also learn to handle your own affairs.

Deathmatching
Big change! You can now actually defend your friends if they’re under attack. No more “sorry, bro, I can’t help you.”

Balancing

On the balance side, we’ve adjusted vehicle prices, made robberies more successful at night , and updated lotto and heist payouts . We’ve also squashed some bugs and made everything run smoother. Enjoy the new features and better gameplay!

Oh, and by the way… everything’s been reset - money, properties, vehicles… you name it. All that hard work? Poof, gone! But hey, it’s a fresh start. Time to rebuild… or maybe lose it all again.

:nerd_face: We’ve worked hard and went on a speed run adding this feature, we’re introducing some additions to the gang war system.

We’ve expanded and enhanced the /gangwarconfig command.

✏️ Changes ✏️

Use the /gangwarconfig command to configure the gang war invitation, or gang data in general

:person_standing: Draft Members
Select members of your organization that you want to be part of the gangwar. You can select offline members as well, they get added automatically if they join. This applies both for sending invitation as well as accepting one. Add members slowly, one per second - this is to ensure data is properly checked and saved. Double check config before sending or accepting the invite.

:stopwatch: Set Duration
Set duration of the gangwar. This applies only for invitations you’re sending to other organizations.

:moneybag: Set Stake
Set amount of money (per kill) to be transferred from one organization’s bank account to the other. This applies only for invitations you’re sending to other organizations.

  1. Prior to accepting a gang war, select members for whom you wish to participate

  2. To make it fair, number of members you select to participate in the gang war must be less than or equal to the number of members found in the invitation, organization defend rule doesn’t apply, try to make it fair.

  3. Pay attention to the big textbox that appears once the gangwar has started,

  4. if some org can’t pay the stake fees, the stakes feature becomes disabled until the end of the gangwar (no automatic conceding or similar)

  5. Non-selected members of organization are not to be active in the gangwar and don’t count towards the gangwar score

  6. Accepting a gang war means accepting terms and conditions found in the invitation itself & includes selected members from your configuration.

NOTE: Since this was made and tested in about 1 day, we’re looking forward to feedback on the potential bugs, if any are found.
