- No branded cars. It has been said many times before. No car company wants to see their cars doing drive-by with occupants screaming some offensive sh*t. It’s not just about money, it’s also about brand representation. You can get in trouble for that too, if doing/allowing it it at scale.
If using of someone else’s asset is present predominantly without an official permission in your server, it makes you a potential target.

One of very few reasons why FiveM is still around is the fact that after some actual legal proceedings, both sides recently decided to bury the hatchet (gaslighting RedM players here) and make an actual deal on how to move forward.

The point is that you do not have the right to use those (unless you actually get a written permit from the company that owns it).
Same concept: When you are having a public party and you are blasting copyrighted music, you have to pay fees to whatever company you owe it (in Germany it is the GEMA).
Again, you do not own the right to use those hair “models”. They have been made explicitly for the Sims series in your case. Did you pay the original creator of those hairs? Probably not. Did you pay someone on Tebex for it that was never allowed to sell those in the first place? Maybe.
Doesn’t matter. You have those on your server and you do not have the right to use it.
Just because someone uploads it somewhere or even sells it, doesn’t mean they had the right to distribute it in the first place.
And just because you “didn’t know” about it, doesn’t mean you are in the clear when using/buying it. You are effectively using pirated/leaked assets in many cases.

Red Dead has always been the neglected step child of GTA, and it appears it RedM will continue to be in that role under FiveM. Sure a new Red Dead may come out one day, but that is years away, as GTA 6 will get all the focus.
People like Outsider and others that have put so much time and effort into deving for a broken product must be extremely frustrated that little love is coming towards fixing RedM. But then I expected this when the announcement of the takeover was nade anyway.

So Rockstar,
My community is huge into the racing scene. We have been going for awhile now. This (yes we knew about it always being a thing) effects the server with that style roleplay. It is what it is. Not going to argue with people in here saying “if irl cars the only thing you rp for, then your server sucks” people. But what COULD happen from rockstar is take this into the effect of so many servers revolving around this and come out with more cars based around the drag racing, the racing scene and car show scenes.
The base game models, yes do offer alot of customizations but would be a nice feature to bring in MORE for this. Many servers out here are car enthusiest and this would benifit im sure alot more servers and players.
The second thing, is you own many different companies that are in the car scene, you have rights for those vehicles, so why are those not brought in or why are you as a company not going to them and getting permissions for the brands to be used? Is it merely the fact that players can shoot at a car and it “makes the car not likeable?” The fact is, Rockstar you have gained alot of people here who want to play this game and bring more customization to the game. Regardless of the current copywrite laws, I think Rockstar can go out and get rights or even ask for the rights of the cars they already have in OTHER games and bring it to the community.

Because they’re profiting off ip infringement, they are also profiting directly off the IP infringement on their platform and need to remove those files off their platform. That means they need to delete the files and remove access to them.
That would likely only be resolved if they provided refunds to customers affected.
These files should never have been sold on Tebex, and the only way this is made right is if Tebex refunds the purchases, making sure they don’t profit off IP that isn’t theirs to profit off of.
Im not sure why you feel the need to white knight for Tebex, they’re not some poor starving artist.

pretty much. There are people looking for servers right now to report that are breaking rules. I believe before if servers got reported they were given time to remove them, but i dont think that is a thing anymore. I think if someone reports you, they just shut down everything and you lose your keymaster
