Collision broken and MLO not showing

Hello everyone!

I wanted to make a MLO for my FiveM server. I searched for a tutorial and followed Part 1 and Part 2 from BADY_ART (the process of importing the xml files into blender is missing aswell as some other stuff but that doesn’t matter right now.) I followed the tutorial and finished everything but the collision is broken. This is the screenshot from blender with the collision:

As you can see I removed the collision for the garage doors. But this is what it looks like in CodeWalker and how the collisions are ingame:

As you can see, there is a big fat collision which shouldn’t be there (the pink one, first image) and the garage doors now have a collision again (the white one, inside the pink box, second image).

Even if I fix this I still got the problem, that the MLO isn’t shown ingame. As you can see it is perfectly fine shown in CodeWalker:

But ingame it just doesn’t display the MLO:

Im sorry for writing so much. I hope someone can help me. Thanks in advance,
Wolkenklar

Hi. Check ook_3d tutorials too. They’re the ones I’m using and having good progress on my mlo.

  1. You imported both collisions? Hi and Low?
  2. Do you generate the manifest in CodeWalker?

Hello,

Yes i imported both collisions.
Yes i am dumb and forgot to create the manifest. It is currently 4 in the morning for me so I’ll try to create it once I’m at my PC again.

Thanks for your quick reply,

Don’t worry. That can happen to anyone. Keep us updated.

Hello,

I generated the manifest and now it shows the MLO but I still have the problem with one collision being an absolute big block and not being able to go through the doors. Also the collision of the MLO doesn’t work. I saw in CodeWalker that the position of the collision is just at 0, 0, 0.

Any Idea on how I can fix this?

Try editing the collision in CodeWalker, if you just need to remove some polys it can very much do so - go into the “Collisions” viewmode, load your collision and you can then make edits as you wish.

Hello,

I tried it and the first time it just crashed my CodeWalker when I wanted to select the collision. The second time I tried it it worked but when I went into the game the collision on the floor is also gone in the area even tough the collision I moved/deleted some stuff from wasn’t even at this part of the map.

Try editing them in Blender.

In Blender it looks like this:

And if you hide the low collisions?

For the collisions position in blender, you need to use the same coordinates of the building you’re editing.

This is hi:

And this is normal:

I tried moving it to the same coords but when I exported it it still was at 0, 0, 0

If you want I can just send you the blender file and you can have a look for yourself. One thing I also think could be problem is that I used booleans to make the holes into the collisions (bc I don’t know how to use the knife tool) and the collision for this building is weird in the building so I used the main building as a boolean for its collision and suddenly the collision i used this boolean on became bigger. So that might be a problem.

For editing the collisions I used this method. Try this.

And check minute 6:21…if you cut or put holes in the collisions weird things happens

When he does the first door he makes the collision for above the door and at the right of the door but not at the left. Why is that?

Maybe a little mistake

Hello, sorry for the long wait.

One problem I found is that the collision I need to edit is not just for the one wall but it is a big box which is the collision for the whole warehouse. (if you want to take a look at it for your self it is the one in the south by the red bridge that says “cypress warehouse”, see the images)

Do I still copy and paste the collision or do I have to do something else because of the box?

On Blender you need to resize/copy/paste/resize the big box collision like in the video.

Right now I can’t check it. Maybe later.
