Cfx.re Failed to launch through MTL

Ok guys got it fixed! Just open GTA 5 and make sure that your launcher will update and load your game into story mode. After that start your FiveM. Worked for people on my server.

Looking for more info about this issue,

1. Do you have any modifications in your GTA5 folder?
1. Please provide a screenshot of your GTA5 folder
2. Did you modify your FiveM/RedM folder in any way? If yes how?
3. How are you launching FiveM/RedM? Using the executable/shortcut or some other way?

If you are familiar with CMD try cd to your GTA5 folder and paste the output of dir /s in a https://hastebin.com and link it

Fix ^^^

Are you stuck on a loop on updating the game cache? Here is the fix

  1. Find and open your FiveM Applicaiton Data Folder
  2. Open Cache/Game/
  3. Now run and install the GTA_Patch.exe
After it finishes installing you will be able to load into FiveM.

  1. No modifications in my GTA Folder
  2. No modifications in FiveM folder

Had to reinstall both recently nothing added since.

Just a constant “Failed to launch through MLT” issue.

The whole

cache

folder?

Last time i played was yesterday, barely 20 hours ago. Copying from the error box isn’t possible, when i tried to launch FiveM for a second time i was able to copy some kind of log. Yes everything is updated and yes everything is on the same drive. I uninstalled then reinstalled FiveM, didn’t do anything either. Verifying game cache for GTA V on Steam didn’t work either.CfxCrashDump_2019_12_09_16_18_43.zip (35.6 KB)

Update: I think the mono-2.0-sgen.dll errors people are getting are related to the MTL issue due to the fact that upon a reinstall of FiveM, all of the cache is cleared which means that isn’t an issue. I’ve only been getting these .dll file errors AFTER getting the MTL error prompt. Now I don’t know if this makes much sense in a technical way, but I’ve never gotten these errors before and even using a clean copy of the .dll from an old unused version of FiveM didn’t work.

This would, at least as far as i can see, confirm that something in the update has broken the .dll which, in turn, could’ve broken something that causes the MTL error.

This is my GTA 5 Folder.
