What the thread @deldesigns sent to you means is to change ports from other softwares that may use the same port as FiveM (30110, 30120). As an additional tip, check for firewall restrictions and if possible, disable them before testing again.
Let’s start to the beginning. I’m not sure this will fix your problem, but it’s what I understood by a similar problem someone else had, with the same message as yours. As you mentioned, you have this error while trying to connect in any server that appears in the list, right?
If this is your problem, and believing that you have problems on ports, please do the following:
Disable any firewall you may have installed, including that one from Windows. Remember that routers also have their own firewall settings, and they may prevent external connections through these ports;
Try to login in any server. If the problem has been solved at this point, just add FiveM ports to your firewall rules and enable it again;
I believe you don’t need a portforwarding rule, as you do the connection (outbounding connection) instead receiving it. So the connection is “automatically” routed to your computer. But I may be wrong.
You can try to connect to any server from this point. If you still not able to connect, it means you must access the router configs, probably through a webpage (something like 10.0.0.1, 192.168.1.1 and so on).
Probably your network admin has this control and may allow traffic through different ports than http/https.
This has absolutely nothing to do with this issue… That guy couldn’t access his own personal server due to having uTorrent use the same port as his FXServer hosted on the same computer.
@MichaelLam is not able to connect to any server so opening ports would do absolutely nothing for him.
Odds are it’s an issue with firewall/antivirus. Make sure to add exceptions for FiveM in both or disable both and try again.
Also using the universities internet could be the cause (maybe), but seems unlikely unless the speed is super slow.
@Indominus the speed is not bad cause i play other games as well and it works perfectly. I was using FiveM normally before but now this happens no matter what i try to do its still not working (turn off all firewall, allow FiveM to it…)
