Are Debadged Vehicles Allowed on a FiveM RP Server?

Hello FiveM Support,

I am currently planning to launch a full RP (Roleplay) server and I would like to clarify the rules regarding vehicle assets before our public release.

We are considering using vehicle models that have been debadged, meaning the original real-world manufacturer logos, badges, and branding have been removed or replaced with fictional branding.

Could you please confirm whether these types of debadged vehicles are allowed to be used on a FiveM server?

I would also like to know if there is any difference between:

  • Vehicles with real-world badges/logos completely removed
  • Vehicles with real-world branding replaced with fictional branding
  • Vehicles based on real-world vehicles but modified for an RP server

We want to make sure that all vehicle content used on our server follows FiveM/Cfx.re policies before we launch. We are planning this as a long-term RP project, so we would rather confirm the requirements beforehand than have issues after release.

If there are any licensing, trademark, asset-creator permission, or other requirements that we should be aware of when using these vehicles, please let us know.

Thank you for your clarification and guidance.

The vehicles must not be recognized as the correct brand, e.g., taillights or headlights, possibly inventory

Any assets you got , if they even look similar to known brands.. your server might go through warnings.. ends up with a perm- ban.

I would highly recommend you read through the https://fivem.net/terms and the announcements. This has been discussed ad nauseum on the forums, all with the same answers. Community Pulse - October 2023 Edition
