Long story shortish…paid for a month, after several hours of trying to get the database required for the Cops script to work, I submitted a ticket (average wait time 2 hours - per their website) and after 12 hours received a “there’s something wrong with the database” non-help response. Next, I began just asking for a server that initializes (I could start the server but it never would initialize, even with no custom scripts loaded) and was told by chat support that because I had an open ticket, I had to wait for that response (another 12 hours - average wait time now only 1 hour). This time the response continued to dance around my database issue and did nothing to provide me with a server that, script free, anyone could connect to (their website just said it was “initializing” and that it could take up to 10 minutes - it never did). After 48 hours I asked for and was offered a prorated refund because I had used two days of the one month that I had paid for (aggravating). As proof of an actual issue, they offered to move my server to another “host system” so I could actually connect to the server. When it came time to issue the refund, I was then told it would be in “ZAP credits” and I informed them that I never wished to work with their company again so I did not want their credit. When I asked for my refund to be issued via the method I had paid (Paypal), I was threatened with “legal action,” being forwarded to a debt collection agency and told that my other provider (who I did not name) would not provide the support that they do (HA!) and wasn’t as good. Please note, I paid up front and had not threatened to dispute the payment with Paypal (but might now that they gave me the idea), I had actually at one point told them I didn’t care about the refund but I wanted them to know about their poor customer service.
All things said, less than two hours after giving up with them I had a Linux VPS up at half the cost and twice the hardware and despite clearing stating that they only offer support related to keeping my server online, they had helped direct me a bit and I learned some Linux.
Lol they are stating that you HAVE to pay them? Lol Sounds like a tech support scam all over again I bought hosting with them about 8 months ago, and got a refund 2 days later and they only gave it to me in zap coins I bought 1 year in advanced cause people roped me into using their service and found out that it wasn’t up to my standards so I asked for the full refund they just gave me a year worth of zap coins (Which was like $100+)
Are you sure this is the correct story? Because when I read the message they send you (Which comes from a Teamleader) It looks like you didn’t pay something.
I’ve found rather fast responses from their support team. Within their working hours it’s never been longer than 15 minutes to wait for a response.
Originally it was just a FiveM server I purchased but I’ve since added a VPS with them. They’ve been more than happy to help and every problem has been resolved; they even helped with an issue I had with a resource (which of course they’re not obliged to do).
I guess that’s the difference between being in arrears and being a paid up customer?
My Paypal account was billed the day I signed up and a withdraw was placed on my bank account. They offered me a zap credits refund…something they would not do if I did not pay. I have the entire chat and ticket history. They responded quickly only after I told them off.
It’s alright, this issue involved numerous ticket and chat responses but a determination has been made against me in less than 5 minutes. By the same person who accused me of not paying (like they would turn my server on or offer a refund (credit) if I didn’t pay?) I can see now why all the complaints about negative comments about Zap Hosting just disappear. I am sure this post will be gone momentarily.
What exactly is the point you’re trying to make with this topic? Seems like you’re upset and just want to vent here? This is however not the place to do such ‘venting’. You can read about that on the forum FAQ page.
( some tiny backstory is missing as livechat logs are not available )
OP created a ticket about ghmattimysql throwing an error because his database connection was refused ( due to it being configured incorrectly ), he was told that and told that it needs to be configured in order to work, then he responded ( at midnight on a sunday! ) that his server won’t boot and that apparently ghmattimysql does not “need” configuring, he then closed the ticket.
Then he created a 2nd ticket with the refund request because the server did not start ( he was offered a fix, but declined ), he was then told that refunding to his original payment source was not possible, which made him rant about “long” response times ( which were still BELOW 24 hours ) and complained about lack of support, support then told him that a complete refund is not possible and will not be done.
That seemingly prompted him to make the topic, even though his experience with the support were two tickets, which only one of them involved FiveM, and which was closed after the first ticket response.
