Hello, I want to buy Fivem server on zap hosting but i don’t know what is better. Linux or Windows? Why?

The average ZAP user will never know the difference. Pick whichever one gives you a warm fuzzy feeling.

But what would you choose?
If you plan to grow your server and begin to step out of the “cookie cutter” install packages and customizing a game server of your own design, I wouldn’t use ZAP at all. This forum and discord channels are chock full of game server owners asking for help moving their game servers from ZAP to a VPS or dedicated server because of limitations they ran into on ZAP.
If you don’t plan on expanding your server past the default pre-installed build, my answer is linux because linux is simply awesome.

As other users have said I would recommend a VPS, this allows a lot more than FiveM server hosting, technically you can host any server that has a dedicated server available for download such as Assetto Corsa and Teamspeak. I personally use vultr.com for my Dev Servers, ZAP Hosting linux server are not that badly priced but need a File Transfer Protocol such as FileZilla where you can transfer folders from your computer to the ZAP Server. That is the basic analogy but I would recommend a VPS if you can afford it. The server I use for devving costs $26 a month from Vultr. -Eden
