Exactly the same is happening to me, still without apparent fix. I tried:
- Reinstalling from 0 GTAV
- Reinstalling from 0 FiveM (Several times)
- Disabling windows firewall and antivirus
- Opened GTAV and played for a few minutes just fine
(From 0 I mean deleting all typical cache folders and even others I could find)
After some log digging the only problem I could find is an apparent error message on the logfile:
C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\FiveM\FiveM.app

I don’t know if that crash is the one that makes us stuck on that gray screen, but it’s the only one that I can see. Seems like that JS file it’s downloading (Uploaded by rockstar 2 days ago apparently from the url) it’s missing an import or something that makes the javascript fail.
