Hello, I have been waiting since October 8th for a post about a free mod to be approved.
The post includes all the necessary information: a link to GitHub, a link to the repository, images, and a video showcasing the mod.
As of today, October 23rd, it is still awaiting approval, with no explanation or indication that there is any issue with the content. Furthermore, I submitted another post yesterday, and that one has not been moderated yet either. I understand that moderation can take time and that there may be other priorities, but we are talking about a wait of over two weeks for the first post, with no response or information regarding its status.
What makes this particularly confusing is that I have seen other posts submitted after mine get approved, even though they appear to contain considerably less information and supporting material. This makes it difficult to understand whether there is a specific issue with my submissions or whether they are simply being overlooked.
Could an administrator or moderator please clarify what is going on?
I would like to know if there is an issue with my posts, if I have failed to meet any requirements, or if there is simply a backlog in the moderation queue.
I am not trying to bypass the rules or ask for special treatment. I just want to know why the posts are still pending and if there is anything I need to correct.
Thanks for the response, but I don’t think this fully addresses the issue I’m raising.
I understand that there has been an increase in submissions and that a backlog exists. However, I know firsthand that posts submitted after mine have been approved, some within minutes and with little more than a couple of screenshots, while other posts, including mine, have been waiting for weeks. I’ve also seen posts that appear to have been waiting for months.
Is the moderation queue processed chronologically, or are submissions prioritized according to other criteria? If it’s not chronological, could you please clarify how prioritization works?
Also, can posts be rejected or otherwise removed from the queue without any notification to the author? If a submission has an issue, I would expect to be informed so I can address it rather than leave it pending indefinitely.
I’m not making assumptions solely based on post dates. A colleague confirmed to me that his release was submitted and approved within two days, despite being posted after mine. It was a generic mod, unrelated to Halloween or any seasonal content.
I understand that Halloween releases may have been prioritized, and I’m not disputing that. However, this particular example is why I’m asking whether there are other criteria used to prioritize submissions.
