The price is 34.99EUR, and the rest is subject to tax. In addition, a 10% discount coupon can be used on the 34.99EUR price: “VN10.” We try to keep our prices a little more affordable than other stores, and we try not to exceed our price range, which is generally fixed.
In the future, a subscription package will be available for those who cannot afford it and want to try opening a server. They will be able to access all of our scripts with affordable monthly payments.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again — RedM is essentially a dying platform, whether people want to admit it or not. Red Dead Redemption 2 released on November 5, 2019, and RedM followed shortly after on December 11, 2019. That means this has been around for years now, and the reality is the community isn’t growing — it’s shrinking.
It’s not like the game is going to disappear overnight, but the player base is steadily declining as new titles keep coming out. And one of the biggest issues is the scripting scene. Sure, I understand that people work hard on their projects — but let’s be honest, a majority of these scripts are recycled from other scripts with only minor changes. Yet they’re sold at premium prices. Not saying these scripts are, but ya’ll are still charging these crazy prices per script.
I get that people need to make money, and there’s nothing wrong with that. But let’s not pretend this is being done “for the community.” It’s not. It’s being done for personal gain. When every script, every feature, comes with a heavy price tag, it creates gatekeeping that only hurts new servers and pushes players away.
Then, on top of all that, you’ve got staff in half these servers banning players left and right over the smallest things — like it’s nothing. That kind of heavy-handed moderation doesn’t protect the community, it scares it away. The result is fewer players, less growth, and more servers dying off one by one.
At the end of the day, RedM feels caught between nostalgia, monetization, and poor management — and none of that is enough to stop the slow fade of its player base.
We reviewed your feedback and realized that it was indeed expensive. We weren’t aware of this because when we looked at other stores, we saw that the prices were really absurd, and since we are a new store, we thought that this was how the market worked because we own a server and buy everything at high prices.
