Hello everyone,
I’m experiencing an issue with my RedM server that has been running fine for the past four days. Today, I started noticing an infinite loading screen when trying to join the server. After some investigation, I discovered error messages in the logs related to socket binding (e.g., “libuv error EADDRINUSE”).
What Changed:
I recently modified the metabolism script to allow decimal values, and shortly after making that change, the issue began. I initially noticed my character appeared stuck and metabolism wasn’t changing at all. Then, when I relogged, I hit the infinite loading screen, and everyone else has as well. Although I reverted the changes back to their original state, the problem persists. I suspect that something might be cached or otherwise stuck in the system, but I’m not entirely sure.
Additional Context:
- The server appears to start normally and all resources load correctly.
- I haven’t observed any errors from other scripts or during resource scanning.
- The only unusual log entries seem to be around network socket allocation.
- I have attempted clearing the cache, disabling all scripts, disabling potentially problematic scripts, clearing my local cache, restarting / shutting down and rebooting both my local machine and the server, verifying the game files on my end, and digging through to remove any warnings or errors that may be present in the config of the server. So far the issue persists.
Has anyone encountered similar issues or have any suggestions on further troubleshooting steps? Any help or insight would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you in advance!
Note: I have sanitized my logs to remove any personal file paths, IP addresses, or sensitive information before attaching them.
