What is the issue you’re having?
It should be noted that I own the Steam version of RDR2, but the same computer also had an account that also owned RDR2, but through the Rockstar Launcher.
When launching RedM, it tries to authenticate with Rockstar Online Services through the Rockstar launcher instead of Steam, which is likely causing the issue of being unable to load into any server due to some authentication check failing.
On my laptop, I am able to join any server fine, but RedM on that computer authenticates with Rockstar Online Services though Steam, which is why I theorized the cause of the issue above.
The solution I am trying to get to is getting RedM to authenticate with Rockstar Online Services through Steam.
It should be noted that RDR2 was originally installed on the C: drive but I moved it to the D: drive. I have already tried fixing the uninstall registry key (HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\Steam App 1174180:InstallLocation) to point to the right location, but that did not work.
What have you tried already to fix the issue?
I have already tried to delete these folders:
“%USERPROFILE%/Documents/Rockstar Games”
“%LOCALAPPDATA%/DigitalEntitlements”
“%LOCALAPPDATA%/Rockstar Games”
“%APPDATA%/CitizenFX”
I had also tried fully reinstalling RedM, the Rockstar Games Launcher, and the Social Club SDK.
