Welcome to True Grit RP! Set in 1895, the wide open lands of Ozark County are calling! Our county blends historical realism with the excitement of living in the wild west, crafting an immersion-centric roleplay environment. Our goal is to create a world that encompasses all aspects of life to emphasize character-driven stories…not just grinding nonstop or making it so easy that there is nothing to do but stand around in Valentine. We have maximized the amount of things you can do in-county and constantly introduce new enhancements, bringing in scripts for every aspect of daily life as well as minimizing/eliminating the amount of things that many servers depend on Discord for.

County structure where each town has its own vibe and culture. Shaped by the families and groups that run them, owning businesses and getting jobs aren’t just about “opening a ticket”, you have to earn the trust of the town to succeed. Those “less than lawful” individuals may not find safety in some towns, where the more lawless towns are criminal safehavens.
Run a criminal empire. Sneak around and set up secluded moonshine stills, be a drug lord, rob banks, or build your gang legacy. There are lots of options to make money as a wild west outlaw. Sell your ill gotten goods to the locals, other citizens, or to the custom black market NPC. Just be careful, they don’t always buy everything…
Serve the people. Whether you decide to wear a badge or a doctor’s coat, there are ways to serve the citizens while making good money and building great roleplay. With custom MDTs for both medical and law, a medical script that accounts for injuries and makes them be treated properly, and a DOJ/Court system developed by people with actual law experience, there are opportunities to be had for amazing RP while helping your fellow citizen.
Tons of crafting options! Standard recipe books have amazing options for basic items, quick bites, and refreshing drinks. Special kitchens are available in homes and saloons opening up a huge assortment of larger meals, baked goods, and more efficient crafting of drinks and snacks.
Multiple ways to use resources. Use the meat and fur from your hunting trips, sell them to the butcher or saloon, or take it to the processing vendor to make sausage. Almost anything you harvest can be used in multiple ways around the county and between jobs.
Dedicated and experienced devs carefully selecting the best scripts on the market, mixing it with our own scripts to fill in the gaps, all the while maximizing server performance. Bugs and balance issues are constantly monitored and fixed while weaving in community suggestions and enhancements.
No cheesy YMAPs and Teleport buildings. Top-rate MICO and MLOs from the best sources used to open buildings in active towns. This means better performance and higher quality immersion.
Focus on immersion. Customized UIs, inventory images, and other graphics components to help everything in the county seem uniform and blended. No unsightly and immersion breaking “/scene” signs on businesses and buildings
