i have made this script, uniquely for MY server and im interested in using it for my server, i was questioning around on discord and a couple people told me it was against the ToS to use icons like such for apps, even tho im not using any apple brand linktation or anything similar, its just hand dandy any icons you can find on google which has no copy right behind it quite frankly, yes they look “very” identical to apples, but they dont have any copyright ownership over these icons as far as im aware, So the real question would be is this against the ToS?

Looks like an ipad.
Change the ui around a bit, menu items on the side or top, clump the time and battery together
Personalise it more to reduce that whole ipad look
A few changes might save complaints in the future
So the toS gives a single f*ck about the fact the ui represents a ipad? thats weird. doesnt that mean scripts like lb-phone, lb tablet, etc are breaking tos lol. i dont think its the ui that they care about, its actual branding. in you’re “statements” case so many big servers would be closed or complaints on their door with 100s of cars with real life branding not on the actual car just in the dealership, its the same aspect a string or the way the ui looks. preciate the help tho, i would appreciate some more thoughts on this tho!
UI/elements of a UI can be protected in some cases, although with phones these have been a bit generified (android/ios are close), but @LamontCranston is saying that you should just put a minimal amount of changes just to to protect yourself.
It will take you 30 minutes to make a new settings and photos icon and come up with new names. Just use Browser instead of “salari”.
IP/TOS violations aside, why would you want to copy the design 1 for 1? It cheapens your product, like buying a knock off “Gussi” bag, everyone is going to unconsciously recognize it’s a knock off design.
You would want to copy the design because it looks nice, easy to navigate and feels nicer in role play to use & just feels polished. Next, icons arent protected but I can easily change names of apps if it’s that necessary even tho I know it’s really not. And doesn’t really matter if it looks like a knock off most phone / tablet systems here on the forum look as so too.
Why did you open this thread and ask if you already knew the answer?
I wanted clarification and to make sure my statement is correct is all, thanks for all opinions I’ll go by what I’m told to help my self in the long run, cheers!
