Uninstalling everything and reinstalling everything then re-adding it all to the firewall permissions.

Hello! This is my first post. I have solved this issue by logging into the account on Steam that has GTA V installed on it. It got me into the launcher. I hope you can get this solved. I am itching to play, but I need to figure out how to redirect FiveM to know that GTA V is installled on my D drive, not my SSD.

Thank you for the recommendation, however I can run Grand Theft Auto through Steam no problem. To fix your problem make a folder named “FiveM” on your SSD, then drop the FiveM application/download into that folder and open it. It will auto download in that folder on your ssd.

a friend of mine has the same concern did you find a solution?

Yes, go to Windows Security, Virus and Threat protection, virus and threat protection settings, add or remove exclusion, add FiveM to the list. If that doesn’t work turn off all of the virus and threat protection and your firewall stuff to check if that works

I Tried this and completely disabled bitdefender, however it still is not working, any other solutions please help ive had this issue for 4 months

I’m having ros-patches-five.dll+7ff29, maby its similar problem, any ideas how to fix it?
@Pro_ATV_Rider uses BitDefender, so am I! @IPuntedMyCat if you are using same anti Vir soft, maby that is the thing causing it ?

Are you using a bitdefender box, or just the antivirus on the computer itself?

Just the software on my PC

Temp. fix found, Uninstall Bitdefender, reinstall fivem, run five, join a server and confirm it works, then reinstall bitdefender. it is working ok for me for now

I did reinstal my whole windows :stuck_out_tongue: and it works

can you give me your fb account i need your help

what should i do ?

Click HERE. its a link to my thread it is explained there.

I have the same problem but nothing works what do i do now?

So since i’ve been struggling for days with that error, here’s a SOLUTION that worked for Me

I’ve updated and installed Microsoft Security Essentials
Link: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/17150/windows-7-what-is-microsoft-security-essentials

I did a /sfc scannow in the CMD prompt (You can find it by doing WINDOWS+R type in CMD)

However before i tried to re-install FiveM and Re-install Gta V wich didn’t really help so you may just want to do what i’ve instructed up there and try out maybe re-installing social club and FiveM if that doesn’t work, however you can try that and i don’t know if it works in 100% but like i said i’ve been struggling to fix this with many tutorials in a matter of like 2/3 Days but i got the solution somehow (I also scanned my pc for malwares twice but idk if it would help) do not take it as a instructing material here that works in 100% but if you’re really desperate to fix it you can try, also yeah turn off firewall

I solved the problem adding an exeption (windows defender)
