How are you starting the server.

With the start.bat

Can you show me the start.bat code and location and also show your server file structure.

I’m pretty sure everything is correct but the license key doesn’t work.

Have you tried to generate a new license key?

OH Wait just a momento.

it should be
sv_licenseKey "key"
or
sv_licenseKey key

not set sv_licenseKey key

I just changed it and I am still getting the same error.

I have also generated a new key.

you are 100% sure you saved the file because that all is correct if I didn’t miss anything.

and you know I meant sv_licenseKey asdfhshdfkjshjfgher4t8s798f80gydfg not actually [sfjlksadjfkljasdkjfhjklh3458249853485]

have you tried the other way without the " "?

Yes I have.

could try to put this in your start.bat.

%cd%\run.cmd +exec server.cfg

I am pretty much just throwing random stuff at this time

Nope still gave me the error.

Hm… Honestly I am stumped. Sorry I couldn’t fix this issue for you. Maybe someone will pass through and see something I didn’t.

Why is your server.cfg in the server files directory, I suggest creating a new directory called “server-data” then put your server.cfg in there together with your resources folder.

Then also create a start.bat there with

..\run.cmd +exec server.cfg

you need to run the server from within the server-data directory so right now it isnt even looking at the config file mostly because it seems to be in the wrong location.

i would suggest starting over and reading the wiki carefully.

there is a tutorial on the forums on how to setup a FXServer that explains how to do this to a T.

Maybe this will help you out.

I did set it up the way the wiki told me and that’s when I was getting the error so I tried another way but I’ll try it again.

So I followed the video and I am getting this error.

F:\FXServer>cd d/ F:\FXServer\server-data
The filename, directory name, or volume label syntax is incorrect.

F:\FXServer>F:\FXServer\run.cmd +exec server.cfg
Couldn’t find resource sessionmanager.
No such config file: server.cfg
GlobalError: This server does not have a license key specified. Please set the sv_licenseKey console variable to a key from https://keymaster.fivem.net/. (for example, set sv_licenseKey "key" in the config, or +set sv_licenseKey key on the command line)
