The End of ToS violations?

We averaged about 70-90 players a night. After we took out the badged/debadged vehicles we’re now at 0. It all started with someone in our community going “I’ll start my own server with vehicles people want” and now a large portion of the community is there; and we’re very unique, we have over $10,000 invested in scripts and assets, use Cloudflare for CDN asset caching, optimized the shit out of everything and we’re being forced (for the time being) to add at least debaged vehicles back in. Until the playing ground is level honest people can’t succeed.

If someone says anything about the TOS problem (CFX), I’ll just quit. Until there’s even enforcement, I can’t justify spending hours of time, more money and effort to be unique just to be undermined by a base QBCore deployment who happens to have IRL vehicles. Screw that noise.

I’ll probably regret weighing in here, however:
We were warned for TOS violation. I didn’t see the warning because it went to an email I don’t really check.
Then we were suspended for two weeks due to no changes.

We invested between labor, assets, scripting, and more over $80k in our 1.5 update. Once we heard about the TOS almost a year ago, we immediately went to work on another iteration of our server branded as a 2.0 build that reinforced gameplay mechanics, fixed econ issues, and most importantly, removed any and all TOS violations.

If your community leaves, it starts with leadership. If your community doesn’t respect the work you do, then you failed them as a leader.

We are seeing more traction and more growth after removing all of the TOS content than before. For reference, we spent 3+ years with TOS content in our server, versus 2-3 months w/o it.

It’s up to you as a leader to build you community as much as you build your server. You can’t have one without the other, based on my experience.

While it is frustrating to see there are other servers that are still running TOS violations, I know their time will eventually come, the same as ours did.

It’s easy to sit on the sidelines and cry about why nothing is being done, why people are being ignored, among other things.

Honestly, just be a part of the solution and not the problem. I’ve spent the last week reading everything I’ve come across in the forums regarding internal Cfx drama; and honestly? None of it concerns me.

Its unfortunate what has happened to some key contributors, I agree, however I can’t change their situation and no amount of crying from me will. All I can do is set my gaze forward and continue working.

Part of the issue is that much of this relies on user reports. Unfortunately, it takes a significant amount of work on the part of the community to report violations, which goes through a support ticket. I think having more mods who proactively check servers for violating content is the solution.

I know from releases until a small group of power users started reporting violating and hunting down content, there was a significant amount of violations still available and linked to. I’m sure you can find some now, but it’s difficult to find major violaters in releases now.

Unfortunately, with how support works, you basically just make collections of images/proof of violation, and then shoot them off into the void. I know action is taken against reports, because I’ve reported violators and seen them complaining in DIscord announcements 1-3 months after about CFX warnings.

IMO it’s long overdue for more community moderators who have more actions. I’m honestly surprised we don’t have more volunteer mods, I remember WoW used to be absolutely flush with both volunteer mods/admins who would do free work for Blizzard.

“We are seeing more traction and more growth after removing all of the TOS breaking content than before. For reference, we spent 3+ years with TOS breaking content in our server, versus 2-3 months w/o it.”

Reminded me “Let’s eat kids!” vs “Let’s eat, kids!” kind of a situation. Anyway, I’m glad you, guys, are doing great!

Is it a violation if you own the license from the oem for useing the model or if idk say make my own oem and use my models

This needs to be ended. We all know cfx/rockstar can’t handle the amount of servers and there lost already many good server owners and developers. Handle it like all the other games.
