Taken last night during a critical incident where a Subject of Complaint (SOC) barricaded him self after Troopers assigned to Vinewood Police Area Command and the State Crime Command’s Strike Force Rosann executed a warrant on a private dwelling.
The male was barricaded for approximately 45 minutes before the Tactical Operations Unit and the Rescue & Bomb Disposal Unit executed an “action” plan which saw the use of [REDACTED] explosives and less-lethal munitions.
This individual was prosecuted for Steal a Motor Vehicle or Vessel, Assault & Other Actions Against Police, Police Pursuit (Felony Evading), and Leaving the scene of an accident.
Troopers assigned to the Public Order and Riot Squad with the assistance of Troopers from Mission Row Police Area Command and PolAir (Aviation Support Command) enquiring after this male was observed brandishing a firearm in the 1100 block of Brouge Avenue, Davis.
Enquiries revealed the man was a licensed firearm holder. However, his firearm and munitions were seized and he was issued a court attendance notice for brandishing the weapon and improper transportation.
PolAir observed the male driving in a careless and reckless manner moments earlier too which led to him being issued 5 demerits and $5,983 infringement notice.
