Suggestion: Remove the server limit per CFX account

Currently, CFX limits each account to a maximum of three servers, creating significant challenges for large communities, brands, and groups that manage multiple active servers. This restriction imposes unnecessary barriers to efficient server management, forcing owners to create multiple CFX and Tebex accounts to bypass this limitation, leading to issues such as:

Administrative difficulties: Managing multiple accounts scatters server control, making it harder to centralize management, apply standardized configurations, and monitor operations effectively.

  • Financial and tax complications: The need for multiple Tebex accounts complicates financial management, requiring different records and making accounting and transparency more difficult.
Security and compliance risks: The requirement for multiple accounts increases the risk of fraud, credential leaks, and difficulties in tracking administrative access.
Negative impact on user experience: For large server networks, a fragmented system negatively affects the player experience, making server integration and unified services more challenging.

There is no technical justification for maintaining this limit, especially considering that large server networks drive community engagement and contribute to the platform’s sustainability. The ideal approach would be to remove this restriction, allowing owners to manage as many servers as needed under a single account, optimizing administration and ensuring a more efficient ecosystem for everyone.

From Increasing your key limit, this is not a technical limitation but rather a limit to prevent reselling.

I believe that the limitation of three servers per account is not an effective measure against reselling. In practice, server administrators can simply create multiple accounts to bypass this restriction, which does not actually solve the proposed problem. On the contrary, this limitation creates obstacles to efficient management, fragmenting administration, increasing complexity, and raising the risk of errors, without truly preventing reselling.

The ideal solution would be to allow administrators to manage as many servers as needed under a single account, maintaining the security and integrity of the platform while facilitating management for large communities and server networks.

So what you’re suggesting is removing the cap, which will lead to reselling being extremely rampant? The core of the issue here, as far as I understand, is accounts bestowed with bonuses; it would be trivial to sell keys if there’s no limit, which goes against the TOS and would create an enormous “black market” for server keys with tier bonuses. This limit is necessary, so unless you have a better solution to that specific problem, nothing can be done.

Just putting this here as a suggestion but maybe it would be worth looking into adding additional plans that allow more keys for a higher subscription price. This could reduce wait times by getting rid of the form and also ensure CFX is compensated for additional keys. Maybe something like a quantity option so if you purchase 2 on the same CFX account it will give you 6 keys instead of 3.

There’s not only the server subscriptions, but also purchased assets linked to an account. I don’t think many creators would be happy if a single purchase can be used by 20 servers.

I feel as though most server owners don’t need more than three keys. I could see for larger communities/networks - however that is a very limited amount of the owner group in this community.

And like @TheIndra linked - there is already a way to increase the key amount provided you absolutely need it. In my opinion, there is a trade-off when it comes to stuff like this. In this case, ease of use in having unlimited keys is traded for prevention of reselling.
