Sudden FPS, GPU usage and CPU usage drop while playing on a server in FiveM

What is the issue you’re having?

I have been facing sudden FPS, CPU and GPU usage drop while playing on a roleplay server in FiveM which is causing my entire laptop to stutter and makes it laggy for 2-5 secs and comes back to normal state again. But after 5-10 minutes it is happening again.

What have you tried already to fix the issue?

I tried clearing the FiveM cache, lowered the in-game display settings to Normal and did set the FiveM application to High Definition Graphics in settings.

Overheat is the most likely cause, you should try changing the power settings in Windows and ensure that you have adequate cooling - standard issue on a laptop
