I’m streaming a handling.meta for police. I am able to modify values, and it will change the handling, so I know it is working.
However, for some reason whenever I drive off-road with police, it is horribly sluggish and slow as if it is being held back.
I even put in the default police handling (streamed, but default values) to see if it was some value I modified, but it still did it. It only stopped being sluggish when I stopped streaming the handling for that vehicle.
I have no idea why it is doing this, and obviously I’m not comfortable streaming custom handling if it does this while on any dirt road. I was also streaming handling for a couple other cars and it did not appear to be effected in the same way.
I tried searching for solutions on these forums, LSPDFR forums, and gtaforums – no luck! Does anybody know why this is happening?
I’ve “fixed” my issue. What I was doing was only restarting the resource that streamed the handling, and spawned a new car (which did change the handling).
So I come back on day 2 (and of course the server has been off then I turned it back on) and it worked perfectly. So I just need a server restart for this improper off-road behavior to be gone.
I’m not even sure if restarting the resource is a “safe” way to test handling, but I did notice changes when I modified every line (one by one to observe changes) in the handling. My only problem was this strange off-road thing.
