[Standalone][Free] Deathcam

RedM Deathcam

Decided to share since I didn’t come across deathcams with mouse movement in this platform, not sure if I just can’t find them but eitherway, here’s mine.

  • Simple resource converted from FiveM to RedM allowing mouse movement while ped is dead.
  • It is standalone, well, VORP currently but all you have to do is change the event for something you use to handle playerspawning or character selection.

Dude. At least some credits would have been nice. Just the name really doesn’t count as credits. Your code is a 1:1 translation from FiveM into RedM from my script that can be found here for anyone that’s interested in the original:

Also I should remind you that not having a License in a repository actually means that you cannot use it in any way at all. If I were a bad actor, I could have taken this down pretty fast.
That being said that was one of my first releases and I probably just forgot to add one to it. I’m not gonna take any action and just add a license to my DeathCam that should cover this case and you are good to go. (consider this as a “permission has been granted” scenario) :slight_smile:

Also for you and everyone else reading this:
There is a new version out with better performance and a lot more functionality than just having a cam when dying called the OrbitCam: GitHub - Kiminaze/OrbitCam: Let's you orbit a camera around a given point/entity.

Seems like shape tests work different in RedM? (camera glitches through the ground)

I am sorry that I made you upset.
It was around 3am when I posted this. I did actually try and credit someone who made it in FiveM originally, I never claimed making it myself. Please take a look in manifest.lua. I seem to have written it in there and thus unintentionally forgot to add it in readme. Also I have used this for so long in my FiveM server that I forgot whose code it originally was.

added it to are server and it doesnt work. Running on Vorp Frame work

Please provide some more information. Have you added any prints in any of the loops ? Do the functions ever initiate for player?

Edit; You are correct, I forgot some variables. Add these on top the script and you should be good to go. I updated repo too.

so i updated it and it still not kicking in letting people move the camera while there dead. im not going to give up on yea and have faith with you been looking for a script like this, before the update you just did it wouldnt let us move the camera and it got stuck while being carried. i have the camera option turned of in vorp core to i need to turn it back on and this over rides it?

How do i fix respawning immediately as John or Arthur at valentine?
