I’ve been working for a while now on refining MartinCT’s more than well-known K9 model,
“German Shepherd / Malinois K9 Dog,” at that.
I’ve come to the conclusion the model could use a lot of love and work, so I put some into it, and out of it came years of development beyond what I’ve planned on originally.
Now I’m still at it, putting the finishing touches, but I’m quite certain people will like what I’ve done so far with it,
from the slight changes to the mesh to the rich abundance of textures.
Im planning on being done with it towards end of this very month (if not mid next month.)
However this would mean the Model and the changes to it will be soon put up to the Release Page for everyone to enjoy.
This has been quiet the passion Project with a lot of struggle but ultimatly a lot of fun as well.
So lean back and stay tuned, in the meantime however enjoy these Pictures.
(I´ll also be still planning on adding more mini updates for it as i go, i just figured better release a base pack now before i never finish up on it.)
(there are the base options right now for the fur coat (got issues mapping the nose correctly, once that is resloved there will be lots more skings like a dalmation knock off etc)
(there will be some more ear options too other then the one side flopped down, the other side too and both and ofc more then that too)
This is a picture from an older post but this pretty much will be still in too.
There´s multiple color variations for the eyes present with even some husky ask two tones.
The bandana is taken from Popcorn-RP’s package, but I’ll likely replace it with a better version that looks more like a bandana, with a loose triangle in front. (Shoutout to them and Junebug, who modeled the bandana.)
The Base Vest got a bunch of Coloration options.
There´s two Positions for a ingame Walkie Talkie (figured it did look alright enough back then)
For the Patches which are blank right now am still working out a bunch of things,
Goal was to give the K9 Players in the Community (and not just myself) Options… a lot of them really.
The Top usually represents the Job (or Agency) + Some Fun Patches Pack like Fur Missile or Corpse Sniffer.
The Bottom Right is always Names (which right now im working on 355 … yeah you heard me right) 355 Names of Real Life K9 Units which did serve multiple Countrys and Agency´s in their line of work.
Its not just as a Homage but kinda as sign of my respect for them i guess?
Any how there be also the Left bottom side patched which will be consisting always of a Do Not Pet Patch and a bunch of Options such as the seen Service Dog In Traning but way more (even fun Patches too) while still keeping it realistic enough.

As you can see this is more then enough work already put into it,
though no worry about the file sizing as this whole thing works pretty much like a light weight EUP
aka there is not really a lot on (oversized model/textures) or any other kind of warning per console.
now as stated am not fully done yet as there is still the two bottom sections but i hope you guys like it so far regardless of the state its in.
there is some more stuff planned for it but as stated i kinda wanna get it out first and release the other stuff in sort of a dlc kind of style to reduce stress but also ultimatly really just share what i´ve created from the base of another person non the less.
Im really thankfull that MartinCT has commissioned this Dog back in the day cuz who knows what else i would have done ^^
though i hope if he is ever around appreciates what has been done.

NAMES:
Names are about 90% Done (323 Textures) - About 56 More Missing
(not gonna joke these take a majority of the file size right now and will be turned down from x2 2048 to 752 for the “end user” pack you all will be able to find in releases soon.)
Theres also going to be a lot more optimizations steeps left and right for textures to bring down the size of about 525 MB (rounded up since there still some missing)
Granted i could probably release this package as is but i know people wanna have things look good while being also not as big as some of the base stuff you did see in a server.
(even if this kind of is like a Dog EUP in its own weird twisted way)

BOTTOM LEFT SIDE PATCHES:
Update will include some Fun Patches but overall stays the same with the big round pdpmiw patch.
Update includes:
Military/Police Ranks
Depiction of “Mood” is what i like to call it for “Shy, Friendly, Do not Feed”
Fun Patches - Classics like “Fur Missile” and many more to add in some fun silly aspect to it too.
(stuff like Mama´s says im Special etc will be there too)

Head Shape is back and fully integrated into the package.
(you will have to swap eyes to the second layer else the dog looks a little derpy)
But yeah, there will be some more head meshes with both ears up and down and ofc one side only up and down to gurante even more custimization power.
