Some addon custom cars do not spawn at all

Hello,

I have had this issue for a while where certain addon cars will just refuse to spawn (with vMenu), with no errors in the client or anything.

A recent example: Vulcar Zodiac Pack [Add-On | Tuning | Liveries | Sounds] - GTA5-Mods.com

And also this one: Obey Argento [Add-On | Tuning | Sounds | LODs] - GTA5-Mods.com

I suspect it may be something to do with the version of the game FiveM is using, as 95% of the cars I have tried have worked fine.

I often use this tool: ZeroDream Mod Tool to download them, but even doing it manually with OpenIV and making the fxmanifest etc myself did not work.

Any ideas? Can anyone confirm if they have got those 2 cars above working?

Both are working , though a problem from your side

First you want to check if you can do /car . If you cant, (It says Unknown model or something) its probably either the model or the vehicles.meta thats wrong.If the car spawns but you are clipped in it, and crash when you move out of the vehicle, then its the vehiclelayouts that are missing / not working. You also added it to vMenu, so you might wanna double check the spelling on the model names in there.

lmk if you need help still, because I can convert them to a resource if you can’t figure it out

Interesting, what FiveM server version are you running?

Thanks for the offer - I am fairly confident in my vehicle converting abilities as have probably added 100+ to my FiveM server (along with custom handling, textures, carcols, vehicle layouts for RHD etc) so I am pretty certain it isn’t a meta issue, and the YTD/YFTs are not greater than 16mb. vMenu doesn’t complain (like it would if the vehicle wasn’t in the addons.json), and there are no errors in the console.

There were a couple of comments on GTA5Mods from people with the same issue suggesting it may be related to the game version, but I haven’t been able to confirm it.

I just added both cars to a resource manually and added them to my test server (Build 1604).

Cars spawn fine, sounds work and I can even spawn them with vMenu spawner. What build are you currently on?

I just put them into my other test server which is build 2189 and they also work in there, so I think there might be something wrong with the way you might have made the resource. Unless you are using an even newer version?

Same as yours my also spawns.

@bcs19 Please Recheck if you are expert in making vehicle resource.

Thanks for testing! I don’t suppose you could upload a copy of the resource so I can try? I have not enforced build 2189 or anything, and my server artifact is on 3184.

I just downloaded it again and copied it exactly how I have done all of the other car resources that work, and again it just doesn’t spawn at all. No errors in console, and the resource loads fine if I stop/start it

Thanks so much for this, unfortunately they still don’t load. No errors or anything (including the vMenu invalid vehicle model warning). I will maybe try creating a fresh server with the latest artifact and see if that works.

I just don’t get why it is these specific cars, when I have so many others that work perfectly:

And I have a real-vehicle folder with 88 resources in that also all work perfectly

FINALLY FIXED IT! @TECHY_GAME_BAR @Yours_Truely

Enforced build 2189 on a fresh server and they both work.

Turns out it was a version issue. I have never connected to a server running build 2189, which I think meant my local FiveM client had not added some files (maybe vehshare stuff?) to the cache from the latest GTA update (it had to restart FiveM and update the cache before joining).

I have been getting a problem so if I get in my server and spawn any addon vehicles they won’t spawn for me but they will spawn for other people I have tried almost everything basically I have tried to do a lot of things nothing is working

try using a vpn

Check if the vehiclelayout is working and if all files have the correct format
