Hi, someone knows if its legal sell gta5 default cars for real money?? I’m on a server who sold it for real money? Like grotti turismo r, pariah. Gta online cars!!???
Look at it this way - they are not selling the models themselves; instead, they are selling the privilege of using those vehicles on that specific server. As long as the way they do it is otherwise in accordance with the TOS, I personally don’t believe that to be an issue of any kind.
Do be aware that it’s only my opinion in accordance with how I personally interpreted and understood the current TOS and bylaws!
You may not sell any content that gives the customer an advantage over other players.
This of course includes (faster) vehicles. However the exact line where this starts I do not know. This area is kinda vague in wording in the ToS.
E.g. when you can buy those same vehicles ingame for a reasonable amount of money compared to playtime, this should be fine.
(But as the guy above me already said: this is just my thought process here and might not be 100% accurate)
That’s how I understood it since 2022, until today, when Tebex contacted me, restricted my store, and requested me to list one by one all the cars that are included under the “Premium Membership” package, and make sure none infringe the copyright of the owners, or intellectual property rights. Needless to say I had to make freely available more than half of the vehicles that were reserved for my Supporters.
Note that I did NOT sell the vehicles one by one directly, I simply made them available for purchase with in-game cash only if you were a Premium Member, one of many perks of being a Premium Member of my community.
It’s so stupid to me that some servers are completely locked and you can’t join at all unless you pay some whitelist application fee, and somehow it’s totally fine, but for some reason if a server is free to play, it cannot reserve some vehicles for its paying customers, even though the locked server too is technically also paywalling the vehicles together with the whole game.
Huh, looks like they changed something in either the rules or their enforcement of them, strange indeed
