Should I Host a Server on my PC or Get a Paid Server?

Hello! I’ve recently heard about FiveM from Youtube videos and some posts from Reddit. I’m interested in wanting to create my own FiveM, but I’m not sure what method to go with. I plan to start with a small amount of players(10 or 8) friends of mine and a few mods. I’ve read some reviews about Zap-Hosting, but seems to be somewhat mixed. I’ve also debated on simply hosting a server on my computer to save money, especially since it’s my first time using FiveM. But I’m wondering is it safe to host it on my computer and having enough space for it?

P.S. Here are some of specs of my PC.

OS: Windows 10 Home Edition
Processor: Intel Core i7 3770K CPU (3.50GHz.)
Physical Memory: 16 GB
Available Physical Memory: 9.15 GB
Virtual Memory: 31.9GB
Available Virtual Memory: 22.09 GB
Graphics Card: Nvidia GTX 770

If you are only going to play with a couple of friends then hosting on your pc should be fine

Your hardware is good enough to run a decent server (I’ve ran servers on weaker systems  )
Hosting it on your own PC is also faster because you will not have to wait for uploads/downloads to adjust resources, which is an added bonus.

Here’s a good video on how to set up a server on your PC:

Thank you both so much for the replies, especially the video! I’m definitely going to watch it and continue to learn more to make my own server.
