When playing FiveM, on all servers I have major map loading issues and texture issues. My map takes a long time to load, sometimes upwards of 10 minutes. And after this, even some textures won’t load correctly, and sometimes I will fall through the map when entering other roads. My PC specs are more than enough to easily run the game, and my normal GTA V loads and runs fine, it just seems that it is a problem to run the game on FiveM.
Hi ewesey,
This is a common problem on most servers, it has nothing to do with your computer, It is to do with the server and its connection to all of its clients, The map texture glitch is due to the server not being able to send all of the data needed to load the map for you to your computer meaning it will take a long time. What I would suggest doing is trying different servers or even get better internet or use Ethernet to get a better connection to the severs.
I have extremely good internet, and use ethernet to provide my connection to the internet. I currently have over 150mbps download speed, so I can’t see that this is the problem.
Then this problem is either caused through the original GTA files being modified or corrupt meaning certain parts dont load in or its just the servers fault, try checking GTA files or reinstall FiveM
try other servers to see if it is reoccurring problem over all of the servers, if thsi is the case then go to people that know the code better than i do, such as moderators or the boss of FiveM
It happens about half the time, what I find, is that its usually servers that have HD texture packs installed that cause the loading to hang, because on-top of waiting for the information your game has to unpack a mother load of large texture files.
most servers use the normal gta v map and those are made in ultra hd textures and scales to what you request so those shouldnt be an issue its normally servers with custom maps that take a long time to load, but if you are stuck loading for the map on a server that just uses the normal map then it is something to do with the server or the clients connection
