Session stuck - account already in use error

What is the issue you’re having?

Me and my brother are trying to play FiveM together but one of us always gets the error “Your account is already being used to play on FiveM or RedM”. Error ID: au_yp1kzd736qw51_dbp64_gy7owyq9500n_ysa54

What have you tried already to fix the issue?

Restarted FiveM, cleared cache, changed Rockstar password, revoked FiveM access on CFX account, reinstalled FiveM

Additional comments

I have a new PC with a new Rockstar account (MOUSSA93Z), a new CFX account and GTA V on this account. My brother has my old PC with my old Rockstar account (MAMMOUTHS-EYDEN), my old CFX account (EYDEN26) and GTA V on this account. We therefore each have our own GTA V, completely separate Rockstar accounts and different CFX accounts linked to FiveM. However, randomly when one of us tries to connect to any FiveM server, he gets the error “Your account is already being used to play on FiveM or RedM. Please end your current session first.” We have tried clearing the cache, reinstalling FiveM, revoking FiveM access on the CFX account and changing the Rockstar password but nothing works. The Error IDs are: au_yp1kzd736qw51_dbp64_gy7owyq9500n_ysa54 and au_oqe0x3k7yrzm_6fcg9_9fppzbgra39k1_9s7e9. Please help us end the stuck sessions so we can both play together. Thank you.

You and your brother both need to do this on both PC’s.

Make sure neither FiveM, nor Rockstar Games Launcher is running.

  • Press Win + R, enter %localappdata%\DigitalEntitlements\ and click OK
  • Back up all the files in there, leave them in a separate directory.
  • Delete all the files inside of DigitalEntitlements.
  • Run Grand Theft Auto V once through the relevant launcher you used to install the game with.
  • Your FiveM client should now use your new identifiers, provided you actually have separate licenses.

You might also have to delete %appdata%\CitizenFX\ros_id.dat which is your Rockstar Social Club identifier.
